So.Cal Questions:
What High School did you go to? Where did you grow up?
I graduated from Schurr High School (in Montebello) in 1992. I grew up mostly in East L.A. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Los_Angeles%2C_California).
How many places did you live in Los Angeles county alone?
While living in Los Angeles, CA:

Hmm... Tommy's or In-n-Out... Tommy's or In-n-Out. Man those chili burgers at Tommy's are so delicious, but if we're talking about burgers no topping, In-n-Out by a long-shot.
Best non-fast food burger in Los Angeles?
Non-fast food? I can't think of any right off the bat, most of the burgers I have eaten have been at a fast food joint.
What do you miss most about SoCal? What do you miss the least?
I miss my family and friends more than anything. I hate not being there for my mom and sister in their time of need and I missed out on the birth of my cousins' kids; I grew up with my cousins so I see them more as brothers and sisters.
I don't miss the smog and traffic though. It's nice to live in a place where I don't need a breathing mask to go out for a walk. The traffic on The 5 was horrible... horrible.
If you could, would you move back to San Diego?
Ant and I go at it on this one. I'd give just about anything to go back; Ant would rather live elsewhere. I think my attachment with San Diego is more because Ant's family is there and my family is about a 2 hour drive from there. I have some very, very fond memories of San Diego: that's where our first child was born, the beach is right there, our friends would come over and we'd always eat at Wing n' Things... I loved that place. The food was great and I remember eating there when Ant's brother was still alive... we had so many laughs there it was so awesome.
My only question is why in the world would you leave California?
California is beautiful, but the cost-of-living is too high to make it affordable for anyone who doesn't own a home.
Austin Questions:
What's the worst thing about Austin?
It's hard to find my way around here without street signs. It's frustrating to pull up a google map and not know where a street is because there are no stinking signs.
Do you like Austin better than California?
I lived in California for most of my life so a part of my heart is and will always be there, but I'm starting to warm up to this city. It's smaller than any city I've lived in, but that's part of the charm as well. No smog or nasty So.Cal traffic (although a lot of people are starting to move here), the people here are warm and inviting, there's the music and film festivals, it's nice.
3 things you like about Austin/Texas and 3 things you don't like.
3 things I like:
Zilker Park - 350 acre park with lots of recreational activities. Hike and bike trails, Botanical Garden, Nature Science Center, and lots of other stuff.
Music and film festivals - Ant and I love music and movies and Austin has festivals for both. What better place to be than a city that has festivals like this every single year?
Cost of living - coming from So.Cal and recently Phoenix where the cost of living has gone up significantly, Austin is just what we're looking for. Affordable housing, lower than average gas prices, everything is so much cheaper.
3 things I don't like:
No professional sports team - I know we have the Texas Longhorns, but I don't follow college. I appreciate the passion fans have for this team, but I haven't warmed up to them yet (sorry cartman, can we still come over? ;))
Tornadoes - I heard Austin is prone to have them at times. I'd just hate to lose everything if we were to get hit.
No In-n-Outs - sorry, Whataburger doesn't cut it
Have you and Ant met cartman yet?
We met him 2 weeks ago at Salt Lick. Easy-going, funny, and very likable guy. Although he almost kicked us off his ranch when Ant started rooting for the wrong team :)

Aside from the liquor buying process, what's been the most difficult change to get used to in Texas?
Probably getting used to the humidity. It's not THAT bad, but coming from a desert it's quite the change.
Sports Questions:
What better, Drew Brees or Stan Humphries?
Hmm... what could have been with what sort of was. I'm gonna have to give the edge to Stan ONLY because he's the only QB to take us to the SB. But I love me some Brees. I still root for the guy even if he's in New Orleans; can't hate on a guy that busted his ass for our team.

Ehh... I can pretend I know a lot about Dan Fouts but I never saw him play. I started watching sports when I met Anthony in 1994 (when the Chargers went to the SB). But from what he tells me, he was an amazing passer. Because he's in the hall of fame, lead the Chargers to a couple AFC Title games, and was one of the most prolific QBs in NFL history, I'm gonna say Dan Fouts. But I love me some Brees :)
Dodgers looking good in spring training?
Heh, I knew someone was gonna ask this question; it's to be expected with a name like "Dodgerchick" right? I'll be honest, I really don't know... I haven't followed the team in years. I chose the name because I was thinking of something So.Cal-ish and the Dodgers are known as a Los Angeles team so I went with it.
Do you like Tommy Lasorda?
Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. The guy is a great motivator and I appreciate the passion he has for the Dodgers, but the guy can be such a hypocrite. Pedro Martinez is a perfect example. Tommy said Pedro would never be a good starting pitcher and kept the guy in the bullpen; a few years later and the guy blossoms and Lasorda says, "Oh I've always known he was a good pitcher". WTF? Are you shitting me?

I'm a pathetic "Dodgers fan". I know he spent most of his career with the Dodgers and a few with the Padres but I am unaware of the circumstances that made him switch teams, but going with a division rival? Sorry, I'm gonna have to say yes.

How did it feel when I took you to a baseball playoff game and my Padres came back to defeat your Dodgers at Jack Murphy Stadium?
Oh boy. First of all, it wasn't a playoff game.
The Padres needed this win to clinch a spot in the playoffs but they were down, big time. I was having such a good time rubbing it in when the Padres decided to step it up several notches and the Dodgers remembered they were the Dodgers and decided to stick their thumbs up their asses late in the game. In the 9th inning the Padres did what seemed impossible and were up by 1 run when Trevor Hoffman came out of the bullpen with Hells Bells blaring in the background. As the Padres fans got up off their seats cheering their asses off, the Dodgers fans went apeshit. I was so fucking pissed off and upset. Dammit, why you gotta remind me? :mad:
How did you learn about football?
You talked me into playing FBPro. Remember when I made a miraculous comeback and ended up beating your arse? Heh, I had it down to 2 point conversions and the whole thing. Fun times :D
Who is your favorite player in each sport that you watch?
Well since the only sport I watch on a consistent basis is the NFL, I'm gonna say Ladanian Tomlinson.
What sport would you have loved to have participated in?
I was a pretty good softball player but my parents thought that if I made the team it was an excuse to "go out" and never pursued it.
Were you upset when Seau went to Miami?
Oh.My.God. I was fucking PISSED OFF. I remember taking a break from work so I could listen to the press conference and teared up a bit. BTW, did ya'll know that Ant went to school with Junior Seau?
If only one of your favorite sports team could win a championship in your lifetime, which would you choose?
Chargers, without a doubt. I love football more than any other sport.

Are you a better wolf or villager?
Haha, really funny. I've never been a wolf but I'm a horrible villager.
Why do you think you are the worst Werewolf player ever?
I get easily swayed. I've played about 10 games and made it to end game about 3 times and made the right call once. I tend to put my foot in my mouth so many times I get voted off early. I seem to always say something suspicious.
Please explain what is so appealing about Werewolf?
You find wolves by reading posts. It's like playing a text version of a detective game.
What's your favorite werewolf role to play?
I've been a villager more times than I can remember and I played duke twice and used it once so I can't really say. Random.org must really not like me.

Do you sometimes worry about getting a testosterone overload from some of the people here?
No way! I've always felt more comfortable around guys than girls. I don't see eye-to-eye with most females and I'd much prefer to hang around a group of men than a group of women.
Do you enoy being the leading lady on a board full of self inflated men?

Oh that's what you meant... duh. I love it here... so many personalities and sense of humors how can I not like it? The guy I was with before Ant was in the marines and a football player in high school and I hung around a lot of that stuff. As far as informative, yeah, it's a tiny glimpse of what males are like, but I know how ya'll are REALLY like ;)

Where did your parents grow up?
What is your family's heritage? In talking to you about various things in brief talking, it sounded fairly more interesting than mine.
I wish I had more information but I'll give you what I know: both my parents were born in Mexico. My mom is from Zacatecas (a small town called El Teul) and my dad from Jalisco (a small town called El Grullo). My dad's great-grandpa was was an Indian which explains my grandpa's dark complexion. My mom's great grandma was from Spain (which explains my pasty-white legs).
Favorite brand of condom?

How's the job going? Haven't seen you around for a while.
It was just fine until last week. I won't go into complete detail but let's say that the system isn't working.... SHOCK I KNOW!! For some of you that don't know, I'm a contracted employee and I work for a company called Washington Group Int'l Inc (or WGI). They're contracted by The Texas Dept. of Transportation for TexasTollways (or TxTag). You guys know those pictures taken at the toll booths? Well I make sure they get processed correctly so people get billed. Everything is entered manually which leaves room for error. If I can't differentiate a C from a G on a license plate, it doesn't get entered and no one gets billed.
I have also been processing payments and wow, people get creative when paying their invoices. Some people are willing to pay UPS $3.00 just to sent $1.40 in pennies. Some people send stamps, some people tape pennies on a piece of paper and I can go on and on but let's just say that people aren't happy paying $0.90 or whatever it is for a toll.
Just last week 8-10 of us were shorted 8 hours off our paycheck and rumor has it that a Customer Service Rep was shorted 40 hours of OT... completely scandelous. Now they're saying that if we wanna get hired on full-time we need to man the phones for 2 hours when the week before it was optional... WTF? Yeah, I'm pretty pissed and I'm actively looking for another job that was not what I was looking for.
If you could choose one thing for your kids to be when they grow up what would that be?
You know what? It doesn't really matter to me. As long as they enjoy what they do and it's not something that'll get them into trouble.

We lived in El Teul (where my mom's from) for a year and I'd love to live where my dad grew up in "El Grullo". We were there for a couple of months and I never had a feel for what the town was like. I have aunts, uncles and cousins out there and I'd love to hear stories of what it was like back in the day. One of the cousins I grew up with was deported for being a hoodlum and he's living there now so I'd love to see him again cuz I probably won't ever get a chance to.
If you could have beers with any 2 people on the board who and why?
Dammit Lathum just 2? There are so many people I'd love to meet and narrowing it down to 2 is pretty tough cuz I like most of you (yes GoldenEagle, even you despite what you think). Well, you already know about you and Molly so I'm striking you both. Hmm... I made my choice based on what I know about them and the likelihood that I'll get along with their significant other.
Schmidty - he's funny, witty and straight to the point, I like straight shooters like him. I know his wife is into photography so I'm pretty sure we'd hit it off on that alone.
AlanT - I love his sarcastic sense of humor and from our chats he's very, very kind. His girlfriend is of Hispanic origin so it'd be nice to speak Spanglish someone other than family.

How's the diet going?
I've maintained the weight but am having a hard time getting organized. When I'm at home I eat well, but when I eat out for lunch (which is at 2am) the only thing open is a fast food joint and there aren't many options available. I still have a membership at Curves but I haven't been going as often as I used to.
Did (do) you see a correlation between participating in the dynasty thread and results, or at least that it was (is) helpful in keeping you on track?
Oh yeah. By participating in the dynasty I feel accountable to you and everyone else on there. Ya'll keep me motivated to keep going. Especially you Ksyrup you've lost a ton of weight.
Favorite TV show growing up and movie.

TV Show: I doubt anyone reading this thread will know what I'm talking about. I grew up watching a family-oriented show called "El Chapulin Colorado" (The Red Grasshopper), "El Chavo Del Ocho" and "Chespirito". "El Chapulin Colorado" was a show about a clumsy superhero out to get some bad guys (and succeeded merely by chance or villain clumsiness). "El Chavo Del Ocho" was a show about an orphan and his shenanigans with the neighbors. I still watch them every once in a while.

Do you have any musical talent?
I used to play the flute when I was in high school (no skin jokes please, thanks) but other than that, I'm afraid the only person of musical talent in our household is Ant which is a scary thought.
Have you ever come close to death? If so, did it change anything about you?
We were at a beach in Rosarito when my cousin and I decided to go in the water (this is the same cousin that got deported). It felt really warm and nice when all of a sudden the waves started getting stronger and the water colder. My cousin and I ended up getting swept in pretty deep to where we couldn't touch the bottom with our toes. We were getting crushed into some rocks. He managed to get out but I was still struggling. He kept screaming for me to grab his hand and I did a couple of times only to lose grip by another strong wave and getting crushed yet again under the water and rocks. I kept swallowing water and the only thing I could think of is surviving... no life flashing before my eyes or anything. Finally I grabbed on long enough to where he pulled me out and I was safe. An older man actually went in the water to try to save me and I'm so thankful he got out alive; I still think about him. I thanked him and all he could say was, "I'm just glad you made it out okay". Everyone rushed out and my cousins, aunts and uncles were all crying. Some kid comes out and says, "You know, you're lucky to be alive most people don't survive" and I could do was cry. The day after we found out that a couple died in the same place we did; I'm so, so lucky. I was pretty bruised and cut up, but happy to be alive.
Did it change me? Well, anytime we go to the beach I don't go in the water anymore.period. I'm scared shitless and I'd rather just sit and listen to the seagulls or the waves crashing against each other.
Do you and Ant ever fight? What about?
We don't get into many arguments but when we do, it's mostly about the discipline of the kids. If it gets really heated we just take a moment and talk about it later when we're both calm.
What is you opinion of Valentine's Day?
It's just another day as far as I'm concerned. Why do we need ONE day to appreciate someone when we could do it year-round? Ant does enough for me to where I don't "expect" him to give me something big on Valentine's Day.
Does Ant do anything uniquely romantic for you, or is he just full of cliches?
After we had our kids it's been kind of a roller coaster ride. Before we had them he'd buy me presents and surrounded them by candlelight, or surprise me with roses at work.
Are your kids starting to show interest in sports, music, etc. that differs from their parents?
Actually no, not quite yet. Larissa is the typical girlie girl interested in all things pink (*gag*) and crafts. She likes creating her own jewelry and Landon is more interested in how things work.

Elva Lorena Mancilla but I now go as Lorena Marks; the only time I've been called "Elva" was in the 4-6th grades. The teacher would call me by my first name and I was all like, "Oh, you're talking to me!" Nobody calls me Elva, I hate that name.

My parents have like 12 brothers and sisters and some of them had anywhere between 2-10. I have a cousin that's younger than our oldest!! Yeah, it's safe to say I have about 50 per side... easily.

What was you first thought when you found out you had to do a C-section for the 2nd child?
This is gonna sound silly but I felt like a failure. I was dilating at 1 cm for a couple of months and when we got to the hospital I kept dilating so I was expecting to go into it naturally but all of a sudden I stopped. They couldn't hear Landon's heart beat so they performed a C-section.
When you shop for clothes, why do you ask me how something looks only to put it back on the rack if I really like it?

How's the photography doing?
I take a whole lotta pictures but haven't gone on a photography outing exclusively for creative purposes. Most of the pictures are of the kids or trips that are out of the norm.
How hard was it to adjust to working the graveyard shift? Have you ever worked those hours before?
Never worked graveyard and it took about a week before I got used to it. Now the bulk of my sleep (4 or 5 hours) comes when I get home and I take a short 1 hour nap before I go in.
Do you get along with your in-laws?
I must be the luckiest woman on earth to be blessed with such great in-laws. They're great, great people and they welcomed me in the family with open arms.

If you won 100 million dollars tax free, what would you do with it?
100 meeeellion dollars? Wow, that's a lot of money. I'd help my in-laws and parents pay off their homes and cars, create a couple million dollar accounts for our kids and nieces and nephew/s, get my sister out of her place and buy her a home here in Texas (take it or leave it), take her her husband and kids on a well deserved shopping spree.
For us invest the rest after having paid our debts, buying a home, and getting a practical vehicle. Nothing too fancy, just something functional. I wouldn't wanna live an extravagant lifestyle, just as long as we're comfortable. I would go to school and major in photography and Ant can stay home and work on some more FOFC parodies :D

Because when the song starts to get heavy I can't get into it if you start singing, it ruins it for me.

What is the cost guessing game?
Whenever we shop, why do you consistently lose in the cost guessing game?
The "Cost Guessing Game" is a game where we try to figure out how much the grocery bill comes to before we get the final tally. In the VERY RARE occasion that Anthony actually goes grocery shopping with me, he usually wins which makes no sense.
Yeah and my question to you is, why do you consistently lose the "Medical Mystery" challenge?
Why do you wear those old faded "chonklas" when going out on the weekends?
They're not "chonklas", they're "chanclas" and for those of you that don't know, chanclas are sandals in spanish. They're not old. I wore them to the library when it wasn't supposed to rain. Right before I left rain came out of nowhere and our car was surrounded by water a few inches deep. I didn't have a choice but to go in the water to get to the vehicle, now they look faded.

I have strange dreams all the time although I can't think of any right off the bat. Most of my dreams are of me losing teeth or walking around naked. When I dream of me naked I always seem to be embarrassed and try to avoid being spotted.

How did you and Ant meet?
Ant and I attended The Job Corps in Los Angeles. They had outings every weekend and we ended up attending the same one. He was sitting in the van by a window and I sat next to him. I looked at his very nice dress shirt and noticed that he was wearing a watch over the cuff and I asked him why. Apparently he was missing a button so to keep it from opening up, he put a watch on it. I thought it was funny and couldn't help but laugh. We eventually ended up in the same class and talked a whole lot. I thought he was some kind of player because he'd always hang around girls and give them roses. I thought man, this guy's pretty slick! We ended up going on many trips to the Universal City Walk, movies, all kinds of places and we eventually moved in.

I love his sense of humor; it's never a dull day in this household. Larissa seems to have inherited this as well so it's double the laughs. Worst quality eh? He's pretty disorganized; but it's to be expected he's very creative.

Best quality: I'm pretty open-minded. I'll try just about anything once. Imagine if we closed ourselves to food, places, people, just... things we'd miss out on so much.

What inspired you to start the photography stuff?
I was looking for a hobby and Ant suggested Photography so I took a few courses and fell in love with it. Being in the right place at the right time with a camera is an amazing feeling... it's a moment in time captured forever.

What do you miss most about SoCal? What do you miss the least?
I miss my family and friends more than anything. I hate not being there for my mom and sister in their time of need and I missed out on the birth of my cousins' kids; I grew up with my cousins so I see them more as brothers and sisters.
I don't miss the smog and traffic though. It's nice to live in a place where I don't need a breathing mask to go out for a walk. The traffic on The 5 was horrible... horrible.
If you could, would you move back to San Diego?
Ant and I go at it on this one. I'd give just about anything to go back; Ant would rather live elsewhere. I think my attachment with San Diego is more because Ant's family is there and my family is about a 2 hour drive from there. I have some very, very fond memories of San Diego: that's where our first child was born, the beach is right there, our friends would come over and we'd always eat at Wing n' Things... I loved that place. The food was great and I remember eating there when Ant's brother was still alive... we had so many laughs there it was so awesome.
My only question is why in the world would you leave California?
California is beautiful, but the cost-of-living is too high to make it affordable for anyone who doesn't own a home.

What's the worst thing about Austin?
It's hard to find my way around here without street signs. It's frustrating to pull up a google map and not know where a street is because there are no stinking signs.
Do you like Austin better than California?
I lived in California for most of my life so a part of my heart is and will always be there, but I'm starting to warm up to this city. It's smaller than any city I've lived in, but that's part of the charm as well. No smog or nasty So.Cal traffic (although a lot of people are starting to move here), the people here are warm and inviting, there's the music and film festivals, it's nice.
3 things you like about Austin/Texas and 3 things you don't like.
3 things I like:
Zilker Park - 350 acre park with lots of recreational activities. Hike and bike trails, Botanical Garden, Nature Science Center, and lots of other stuff.
Music and film festivals - Ant and I love music and movies and Austin has festivals for both. What better place to be than a city that has festivals like this every single year?
Cost of living - coming from So.Cal and recently Phoenix where the cost of living has gone up significantly, Austin is just what we're looking for. Affordable housing, lower than average gas prices, everything is so much cheaper.
3 things I don't like:
No professional sports team - I know we have the Texas Longhorns, but I don't follow college. I appreciate the passion fans have for this team, but I haven't warmed up to them yet (sorry cartman, can we still come over? ;))
Tornadoes - I heard Austin is prone to have them at times. I'd just hate to lose everything if we were to get hit.
No In-n-Outs - sorry, Whataburger doesn't cut it

The Padres needed this win to clinch a spot in the playoffs but they were down, big time. I was having such a good time rubbing it in when the Padres decided to step it up several notches and the Dodgers remembered they were the Dodgers and decided to stick their thumbs up their asses late in the game. In the 9th inning the Padres did what seemed impossible and were up by 1 run when Trevor Hoffman came out of the bullpen with Hells Bells blaring in the background. What is your family's heritage? In talking to you about various things in brief talking, it sounded fairly more interesting than mine.
I wish I had more information but I'll give you what I know: both my parents were born in Mexico. My mom is from Zacatecas (a small town called El Teul) and my dad from Jalisco (a small town called El Grullo). My dad's great-grandpa was was an Indian which explains my grandpa's dark complexion. My mom's great grandma was from Spain (which explains my pasty-white legs).

How's the job going? Haven't seen you around for a while.
It was just fine until last week. I won't go into complete detail but let's say that the system isn't working.... SHOCK I KNOW!! For some of you that don't know, I'm a contracted employee and I work for a company called Washington Group Int'l Inc (or WGI). They're contracted by The Texas Dept. of Transportation for TexasTollways (or TxTag). You guys know those pictures taken at the toll booths? Well I make sure they get processed correctly so people get billed. Everything is entered manually which leaves room for error. If I can't differentiate a C from a G on a license plate, it doesn't get entered and no one gets billed.
I have also been processing payments and wow, people get creative when paying their invoices. Some people are willing to pay UPS $3.00 just to sent $1.40 in pennies. Some people send stamps, some people tape pennies on a piece of paper and I can go on and on but let's just say that people aren't happy paying $0.90 or whatever it is for a toll.
Just last week 8-10 of us were shorted 8 hours off our paycheck and rumor has it that a Customer Service Rep was shorted 40 hours of OT... completely scandelous. Now they're saying that if we wanna get hired on full-time we need to man the phones for 2 hours when the week before it was optional... WTF? Yeah, I'm pretty pissed and I'm actively looking for another job that was not what I was looking for.
If you could choose one thing for your kids to be when they grow up what would that be?
You know what? It doesn't really matter to me. As long as they enjoy what they do and it's not something that'll get them into trouble.

One of the cousins I grew up with was deported for being a hoodlum and he's living there now so I'd love to see him again cuz I probably won't ever get a chance to.

How's the diet going?
I've maintained the weight but am having a hard time getting organized. When I'm at home I eat well, but when I eat out for lunch (which is at 2am) the only thing open is a fast food joint and there aren't many options available. I still have a membership at Curves but I haven't been going as often as I used to.

TV Show: I doubt anyone reading this thread will know what I'm talking about. I grew up watching a family-oriented show called "El Chapulin Colorado" (The Red Grasshopper), "El Chavo Del Ocho" and "Chespirito". "El Chapulin Colorado" was a show about a clumsy superhero out to get some bad guys (and succeeded merely by chance or villain clumsiness). "El Chavo Del Ocho" was a show about an orphan and his shenanigans with the neighbors. I still watch them every once in a while.

I used to play the flute when I was in high school (no skin jokes please, thanks) but other than that, I'm afraid the only person of musical talent in our household is Ant which is a scary thought.
Have you ever come close to death? If so, did it change anything about you?
We were at a beach in Rosarito when my cousin and I decided to go in the water (this is the same cousin that got deported). It felt really warm and nice when all of a sudden the waves started getting stronger and the water colder. My cousin and I ended up getting swept in pretty deep to where we couldn't touch the bottom with our toes. We were getting crushed into some rocks. He managed to get out but I was still struggling. He kept screaming for me to grab his hand and I did a couple of times only to lose grip by another strong wave and getting crushed yet again under the water and rocks. I kept swallowing water and the only thing I could think of is surviving... no life flashing before my eyes or anything. Finally I grabbed on long enough to where he pulled me out and I was safe. An older man actually went in the water to try to save me and I'm so thankful he got out alive; I still think about him. I thanked him and all he could say was, "I'm just glad you made it out okay". Everyone rushed out and my cousins, aunts and uncles were all crying. Some kid comes out and says, "You know, you're lucky to be alive most people don't survive" and I could do was cry. The day after we found out that a couple died in the same place we did; I'm so, so lucky. I was pretty bruised and cut up, but happy to be alive.
Did it change me? Well, anytime we go to the beach I don't go in the water anymore.period. I'm scared shitless and I'd rather just sit and listen to the seagulls or the waves crashing against each other.

We don't get into many arguments but when we do, it's mostly about the discipline of the kids. If it gets really heated we just take a moment and talk about it later when we're both calm.
What is you opinion of Valentine's Day?
It's just another day as far as I'm concerned. Why do we need ONE day to appreciate someone when we could do it year-round? Ant does enough for me to where I don't "expect" him to give me something big on Valentine's Day.
Does Ant do anything uniquely romantic for you, or is he just full of cliches?
After we had our kids it's been kind of a roller coaster ride. Before we had them he'd buy me presents and surrounded them by candlelight, or surprise me with roses at work.

Actually no, not quite yet. Larissa is the typical girlie girl interested in all things pink (*gag*) and crafts. She likes creating her own jewelry and Landon is more interested in how things work.

Elva Lorena Mancilla but I now go as Lorena Marks; the only time I've been called "Elva" was in the 4-6th grades. The teacher would call me by my first name and I was all like, "Oh, you're talking to me!" Nobody calls me Elva, I hate that name.

What was you first thought when you found out you had to do a C-section for the 2nd child?
This is gonna sound silly but I felt like a failure. I was dilating at 1 cm for a couple of months and when we got to the hospital I kept dilating so I was expecting to go into it naturally but all of a sudden I stopped. They couldn't hear Landon's heart beat so they performed a C-section.
When you shop for clothes, why do you ask me how something looks only to put it back on the rack if I really like it?

How's the photography doing?
I take a whole lotta pictures but haven't gone on a photography outing exclusively for creative purposes. Most of the pictures are of the kids or trips that are out of the norm.
How hard was it to adjust to working the graveyard shift? Have you ever worked those hours before?
Never worked graveyard and it took about a week before I got used to it. Now the bulk of my sleep (4 or 5 hours) comes when I get home and I take a short 1 hour nap before I go in.
Do you get along with your in-laws?
I must be the luckiest woman on earth to be blessed with such great in-laws. They're great, great people and they welcomed me in the family with open arms.

If you won 100 million dollars tax free, what would you do with it?
100 meeeellion dollars? Wow, that's a lot of money. I'd help my in-laws and parents pay off their homes and cars, create a couple million dollar accounts for our kids and nieces and nephew/s, get my sister out of her place and buy her a home here in Texas (take it or leave it), take her her husband and kids on a well deserved shopping spree.
For us invest the rest after having paid our debts, buying a home, and getting a practical vehicle. Nothing too fancy, just something functional. I wouldn't wanna live an extravagant lifestyle, just as long as we're comfortable. I would go to school and major in photography and Ant can stay home and work on some more FOFC parodies :D

Because when the song starts to get heavy I can't get into it if you start singing, it ruins it for me.

The "Cost Guessing Game" is a game where we try to figure out how much the grocery bill comes to before we get the final tally. In the VERY RARE occasion that Anthony actually goes grocery shopping with me, he usually wins which makes no sense.

Why do you wear those old faded "chonklas" when going out on the weekends?
They're not "chonklas", they're "chanclas" and for those of you that don't know, chanclas are sandals in spanish. They're not old. I wore them to the library when it wasn't supposed to rain. Right before I left rain came out of nowhere and our car was surrounded by water a few inches deep. I didn't have a choice but to go in the water to get to the vehicle, now they look faded.

I want them to stay true to their values and above anything else, I want them to be happy strive to be their best.

I have strange dreams all the time although I can't think of any right off the bat. Most of my dreams are of me losing teeth or walking around naked. When I dream of me naked I always seem to be embarrassed and try to avoid being spotted.

How did you and Ant meet?
Ant and I attended The Job Corps in Los Angeles. They had outings every weekend and we ended up attending the same one. He was sitting in the van by a window and I sat next to him. I looked at his very nice dress shirt and noticed that he was wearing a watch over the cuff and I asked him why. Apparently he was missing a button so to keep it from opening up, he put a watch on it. I thought it was funny and couldn't help but laugh. We eventually ended up in the same class and talked a whole lot. I thought he was some kind of player because he'd always hang around girls and give them roses. I thought man, this guy's pretty slick! We ended up going on many trips to the Universal City Walk, movies, all kinds of places and we eventually moved in.

I love his sense of humor; it's never a dull day in this household. Larissa seems to have inherited this as well so it's double the laughs. Worst quality eh? He's pretty disorganized; but it's to be expected he's very creative.

Best quality: I'm pretty open-minded. I'll try just about anything once. Imagine if we closed ourselves to food, places, people, just... things we'd miss out on so much.

The House of Flying Daggers was sooo good. The strong colors and artistic beauty makes it mesmerizing, although the martial arts aspect takes a back seat, but I still love it.

Funny you should mention that. Ant's been trying to get me to play for about a month now and I keep putting it to the side. He's shown me a few interfaces but the salary aspect of it is a little intimidating.

What inspired you to start the photography stuff?
I was looking for a hobby and Ant suggested Photography so I took a few courses and fell in love with it. Being in the right place at the right time with a camera is an amazing feeling... it's a moment in time captured forever.
If you're referring to my dynasty, I was looking for something that would get me out the door taking pictures so I crated "The RAW Deal: A Photography Dynasty".
What do you do in your non-internet life?
Ehh, not much. Work, kids, sleep... that's about it. On my days off Ant and I watch movies or take a stroll around town, I cherish those moments.
