I've tried as much as I could to stay away from all french bashing threads, as there was just a tiny bit too much animosity on both sides, in my opinion.
Anyway, here 's ,just for info and to set things straight a little bit, the result of a poll printed in a french newspaper yesterday. I thought it was interesting enough to post.
Question was "how do you feel about America and the upcoming possible war against Iraq ?"
to which
70 % of french people answer that they like Americans, but are opposed to a military intervention in Iraq
15 % of french people say they are both against Americans and military intervention in Iraq
2% say they don't like Americans but are for the war
and 6% say they like Americans and favor a military intervention in Iraq
(I guess 7% don't give a damn either way... :) )
There you have it. Just some numbers to prove that the French do not hate you guys, whatever the media would have you believe.
