newby question: what do i do with the game files

right, i'm doing something wrong though b/c it doesn't show up when i try and open (says i have no multi games avab) but the game file does show up in the "delete game"

Have you created a new career in multiplayer?

you lost me there with the new career thing, not sure how that fits in...i'm just trying to view a league file i'm thinking about joining

If this is FOF2K7, you can't view the league file without a team password which you get from the league commissioner, and you "enter a new career" with it.

There is no way (that I know of) to view a league file without a team password.

ok now i'm REALLY frustraited :mad: :mad: :mad:

i've got a league, a team, and a password and i've put the game file in the league folder but still can't open it. i'm reading the FOFC manual and anything i can find but what the hell is "Enter New Career"...i think that's the brick wall i keep running into...i put in the league 8-code, pick my team (although the nicknames are the orginal non-offical nicknames), pick no draft and then sent that too commish as the manual says...but it still doesn't feel right, i'm in an estblished league, why can't i open the game file

Ok, so you've put all the league files in your "Solecismic Software\Front Office Football 2007\leagues" directory.

Then you right click on the head (multiplayer button) in the top right hand corner of the game.

Multiplayer controls opens up, but ignore that for a moment.

Now click on the open folder button at the top of the game.

A new box labeled "Open Multiplayer game" should open up.

Click participant, and select your league and team and click open.

What happens?

i got everything your saying but when...

i've tried a dozen times too re-try and download the file, ziping it, win-ziping it, win-raring it, extracting it always to "league folder" and always "no multi games avab" and always shows up under "delete saved games"...(i never get to the point where it ask my password)...don't rule out the chance i'am making an extremely newby mistake

i've tried again since last post...i unziped the file (winzip'd it and winrar'd it) into the leagues folder...then loaded FOFC...clicked the face for multi...then open folder...i get "no multi avab" (even though i can see the unzip is in leagues folder) (even though it shows up under "delete saved games")...i try "enter new career" then pick the Houston "Apollos"...then "without draft" then enter league 8 ID i get "send export to commish"...if i go back to open folder after this Houston Apollos now shows up, i click open it says "unable to load game plan data file. saved game missing"...never even get to point where ask for password...i just downloaded FOFC2k7 on my laptop where i didnt have FOFC to try completely from scratch and got the extact same probelms

Let's look in your leagues folder now.

You should have the following files there.

"leaguename.ffn" (example: vnflfile.ffn)
"leaguename.fju"
"leaguename.fpd"
"leaguename.fpo"
"leaguename.fps"
"leaguename.fpx"
"leaguename.frc"
"leaguename#.year of season league is in" (example: vnflfile7.2006)

Are all of those files in your "Solecismic Software\Front Office Football 2007\leagues" directory?

If not, the commish probably needs to send you the "leaguename#.year of season league is in" (example: vnflfile7.2006) file, as that is the most common file commish's fail to send to new players.

Not to butt in ;) - but if you haven't opened Multi-Player Controls and clicked "Enter New Career" (down there by "Export Stage File") then you won't be able to open the Multi-Player game. Do that, then try to open the file - make sure you keep that MP Control box open!!

i've got .ffn, .fpd, .fps, .fpo, fju., league.year, and a leaguename.31Q

so i guess i dont have a .frc and .fpx ... i'm getting the file direct from league website

like i've done about 14 times (above) i've picked my team Houston Apollos with 8 digit league ID (without draft)...going back to "open" i get Apollos "unable to load, game missing"
