Iowa Hawkeyes- A TDCB (1.21) Dynasty

My team is Iowa.

House Rules-
- I can only recruit players from the state of Iowa.
- I’ll simulate every game.

This dynasty is just going to be a record-keeping thing for me, to see if I can lead Iowa to dominance with only players from the state of Iowa

Preseason-
I start the preseason by hiring the second ranked scouting service- Basketball Bytes
I add home games against Drake, Central Conn, and Vanderbilt.

Lineups-

PG- Clifton Marshall(Senior)
SG- Ashley Smith(Senior)- By far the best player on the team. He can do everything.
SF- Vincent Jaacks(Senior)
PF- Brandon Green
C- Jeff Arnold

Recruiting Needs-

I have a PG, SG and SF leaving next year, all three are starters.

November 18 – December 19

Game 1 (0-0) - At South West Texas State
We didn’t come out very fast, SWTS is actually hanging a lot more closely then I thought as at the half it was 36-28 Iowa. 5 players scored in double figures, led by the PG- Clifton Marshall, as Iowa wins in a surprisingly close game, 74-65.

Game 2 (1-0) - Vs Wichita State
This was a little bit better than last game. As at the half the score was 38-25 Iowa. At the half I’m shooting 70%! Ashley Smith led Iowa with 11 points, three players were in double figures, as I won 63-53.

Game 3 (2-0) - At Fullerton State
Not a very good first half, but I’m ahead by two, 38-36. We had a great second half, as we out scored them by 16, the final score was76-58 Vincent Jaacks led the team with 16, 4 players scored in double figures.

Game 4 (3-0) – Vs Drake
A very close game as I win 60-57. Ashley Smith scored 14 to lead the team.

Game 5 (4-0) – Vs Central Conn.
Jaacks led the team with 17 points as Iowa wins again, 69-56.

Game 6 (5-0) – Vs Vanderbilt
For the first time all season, I am losing at halftime, 37-27, not a good start. Pathetic second half, as I fall 74-54, against a pathetic team. Maybe I’m not as good as I thought.

Game 7 (5-1) – Vs Towson
We played much better tonight as we win, 80-63. Marshall had a great game with 20 points and 5 assists.

Game 8 (6-1) – Vs New Orleans
Another blowout win, 81-64. Ashley Smith had a great game with 26 points.

We finish the month at 7-1. It was a good month overall, despite the disappointing loss to Vanderbilt. We also signed are first recruit, a three star PG from Des Moines named Carson Phillips.
