Did any Giant fans stop by to sift the "trash"?

MONTCLAIR, N.J. (AP) - Michael Strahan's ex-wife held a garage sale at her Montclair mansion, allowing bargain hunters to sift through and cart away castoffs from her marriage to the New York Giants defensive end.
Items on sale outside the $3.6 million home on Saturday included cocktail dresses, a bronze football statue, handmade rugs, antiques and a set of cassette tapes on how to make relationships succeed.
Diehard Giants fan and Montclair resident Jamal Callaway walked away with two televisions, with 32- and 20-inch screens, for $100.
"I get to cheer for Mike on his TV," Callaway told The Star-Ledger of Newark.
When asked if the televisions were flat screens, he replied: "She's not that mad at him."
Jean Strahan is fighting to get the $6.5 million she says her ex-husband owes her following their 2005 divorce, a legal proceeding that became notorious for its mudslinging. In court papers filed last month, she said she can't afford to keep the 30-room mansion, which has an eight-car garage and clear views of the New York skyline.
In January, a judge awarded her $15.3 million and set child support at $18,000 a month. Michael Strahan has paid more than half the money, but is arguing that the remaining $6.5 million is too much.

My wife is the bread-winner in our relationship. I'm guessing I wouldn't get to keep much outside of my video game systems if I ever ended up divorcing her. Even the dog would likely turn his nose at me.

Damn, I'm from Montclair, I should've made a trip back to get some of Strahan's awards or something. I could've had his "Best supporting actor" award for his record breaking Favre sack.

She could've sold some of that stuff on eBay and made way more.

He should have gotten a Prenup instead of making deodorant commercials.

Awwww, I feel SO SORRY for this poor woman, not being able to afford her 30 room mansion with an 8 car garage and a clear view of the New York City skyline. What do people want from her? To live in a 20 room mansion and 5 car garage without a clear view of the New York City skyline? How can anyone live in those conditions?

He had a prenup and he was held to it.

From the article
The ruling means the gap-toothed grid standout will have to give his ex-wife more than half his net worth - as Convery held him to a prenuptial agreement stipulating he give Jean 50 percent of their joint marital assets and 20 percent of his yearly income from each year they were married.
Strahan tried to argue that he wasn't responsible for the 20 percent because his wife failed to ask for it every year. But the judge said that "the plaintiff is not credible in his claim that the defendant never asked for her separate funds."
She also made the comment that she was forced to sign the prenup by Strahan and his lawyer.

I'm so glad i don't care about the Giants, and don't live in NYC as I could give 2 shits about the whole situation. Hearing this bickering nightly on the news would be awful.

Crap! I hope Strahan fired that lawyer. Good lord that's a horrible prenup.

Seriously. How much worse could it have possibly been if he had no prenup at all?

I think it would depend if New Jersey is a 'no-fault' state. I'm just saying he could have and should have done better with the prenup. But, hindsight is 20/20.
From reading what the prenup numbers were, that would have made me a little bit wary. I would have done just a lump sum type prenup: $10mil and done. Or something like that. Definitely not 50% and then money for the number of years they were married.
He screwed himself by agreeing to it and I don't feel sorry for him at all.

It's been less than a year and you already forgot about all the coverage the Ben motorcycle accident got? The local news couldn't go 5 minutes without giving updates for at least 2 weeks.

I think this might have been one of those pre-nup deals where he signed it as a testament to how much he loved her or to prove to himself that he wouldn't cheat or whatever.
Perhaps he's just a giving man or something and likes to giving away his money.
Who advise these people? Baboons?

You see, that's where you're wrong. If you two were to divorce she would make sure you did NOT get your game systems or the games. If you did, she would make them unplayable.
Even if a woman leaves a man, 99/100 times she wants to make him suffer.
