well.... I figured I would make it an easy poll but I guess I should have made it politically correct ;)

I guess I'll just say if you had to file taxes as of today how would you claim yourself??

I'm married, but my wife brought a trout home for "play time" last night. So, actually, I don't know whether to go with "married" or "romance with a trout."

I had something funny to say, but it was one of those things that probably would only be funny in context.

The trout is just a conduit for the love you and your wife share. Vote married. I don't see a "ball gag" option up there, so that's what I went with.

I can't say I've loved every day of it, but the positives have far outweighed the negatives, that's for sure. Plus, once we had kids, we pretty much gave up on nitpicking each other and concentrated our efforts on keeping the kids under control. Most nights, I'm too exhausted to fight, even if a particular issue gets me fired up.

Apparently there should be an option for "Getting married this year". There would be at least 6. Stretch that to "within the next year" and at least 7.

Wow... we have a pretty good percentage of people who are married compared to divorced. 77 married to only 7 divorced. I'm not sure what the nation percentage of people who get divorced is but looks like the FOFCs doing pretty good in this department...

The thing is, you can have divorces in the past and still count in the married column here on FOFC, yet those divorces would be part of the national divorce percentage (X% of all marriages end in divorce).

Also, the demographic here is fairly young and some number of those current marriages will end in divorce before death terminates it. I think the figure is 40-45% of all marriages eventually end in divorce.

Good point about the demographic, I believe I read that most marriages end when the couples are in the 35-50 range, which is probably still a few years off for the average FOFC poster.
