If endurance is going to be so important, give us a way to impact it. Perhaps asking a player to drop a few pounds helps increase it. Perhaps it's something that can be worked on in camp, for X number of players per team, per year.
RB endurance - am I wrong or does this seem to work in a totally different way than endurance does for other guys? It doesn't appear I can get a low endurance RB a lot of carries and then deal with him being tired afterwards - he just keeps getting pulled and getting carries taken away from him. Outside of QBs, Ps, and Ks, I really feel endurance needs to work the same way across all positions.
Resolve the passing yardage breakdown confusion. We have 1 set of breakdowns on the player card, a 2nd breakdown in the gameplans, and a 3rd in the box scores. It's a bit irritating (and massively confusing if talking to others about the game).
The game generates some funky-ass QBs, with almost non-sensical arrays of passing skills. For example, I've got a QB who is a 0 in screen passes, 79 in short passes, 0 in medium passes, 0 in long passes, and 82 in deep passes. I find it hard to believe this guy could exist in real life. My suggestion? Scrap the yardage breakdowns on the player card, and instead introduce some QB skills, perhaps something like:
Arm Strength - how far the guy can throw the ball
Velocity - how sharply the passes are delivered (most important to mid-range passes)
Touch passing - this covers screens and short passes, which are certainly a skill of their own.
Those QB skills would help keep us from "gaming" the gameplan screen (my best guess as to why the breakdowns dont align now) and any combination of those skills would produce a QB who, IMHO, is believable.

It would be great if we could make private notes on the player cards, or at least in a private notepad for the whole game. I would use it mainly for remembering whoe the fumblers are.
It would also be useful (some might say too handy) if every play called during an actual game would become discolored, like a visited link on a webpage. As it stands, i have to keep a notebook handy to record these things.

I would love to have all of the pass coverage screens collapsed into one as was done with the game plan adjustments screen in 2k7. In my SP career I tend to rely heavily on Coach Rex to do the defensive stuff, while I tinker with the offense. Having to go into each screen and hit "recommend" before each opponent is draining on the ol' wrist.

Alternatively, it'd be nice to be able to have an option to allow Coach Rex to set JUST the offensive OR defensive gameplan, while leaving the other side of the ball up to the human.

I would like to support the thread starters suggestions.

I would particularly like to see more realistic bars.

Agreed, and you're right about the old wrist when you get into button mashing mode.

Just above the "Save" and "Load" gameplan options would be a perfect place for "Let OC recommend offensive gameplan" and "Let DC recommend defensive gameplan" options.

I actually asked for this prior to FOF6 but was told by a board member that it was brought up before (not Jim) and that some programming issue was the reason it was not considered.

Have more player roles besides just "Red Flag Character"

Expanding upon personalities across the board would be nice. Players, staff, head coach, owners, etc ala FM would be great.

Yup :)

I especially want to see coaches expanded (resign coaches to extensions, make former players into coaches, eyc...)

I like the idea of more generalized ratings for qbs, but I'd like to see more than just three.

On one hand I agree, because if you're going to have coaches, then their role should be expanded. On the other hand, the biggest part of MP leagues (along with roster building) is the detailed game planning, which reduces the gameday role of the coaches, relegating them to the roles of player development and injury avoidance. I don't know how you resolve the two sides.

I would like to know who is creating all of these penalties in a game. If it's the same joker racking up Unecessary Roughness Penalties or the same guy consistently False Starting I'd like to get them traded within the division.

Yeah. I'd like to see who the penalties are on. If I have one OL who is the guy racking up the penalties, he's gone.

Another thing would be to inform in the play-by-play what route the receiver is running, so if your coach calls the plays you have some clue what just happened other than the result. Is he running a post? A curl?

The above post are both very good ideas. It should seem easy to do.

Have a "Scout Top 60 Players" button so you're scout will go interview the top 60 guys instead of having to click on them one by one and do their interviews manually.

I would also like to see a forward/back button added on every player card right under or above the "interview" button. It would speed things up quite a bit when going through the draft class and choosing who to interview.

Great idea. I've wondered for weeks why some option like that isn't already in the game. Scouts and the GM can sign players, but there is no option to just have them actually scout the players for you. Odd.

I think a filter that shows you just the guys you interviewed would be handy.

In preseason, a team report for rustiness would be nice, though this would only really be checked for a couple weeks. Maybe it would make more sense as an e-mail rundown.

It would, if we can ever get team-specific e-mails in multiplayer...
