Did a quick search but didn't find anthing posted about this before. Sorry if it was.

Q: Does a mentor have to be on the active roster in order to affect the development of young guys on the squad? Or, can he be signed but inactive and still provide a benefit?

Q: Any ideas as to what experience level guys begin to NOT benefit from mentorship anymore? Is it only after they are fully red on the experience bar, at some fixed #years, or something else?

I believe the common agreed to answers are that they have to be active in order to affect the development, and that any player in their 3rd year of experience or less can benefit from mentorship.

That is true for FOF2004. I guess most people assume the same is true for FOF2007 but I don’t think a similar test have ever been done for the new game.
