DVR help

Is it possible to setup my DVR (Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8000) to record to my VCR/DVD (recorder) while watching another show? The DVR has a copy to VCR feature and I'm wondering if there is any way to use this so that I can watch TV while it's recording... thanks.

To the best of my knowledge you need a second receiver in order to do this.
