So I've finally decided to do it. Ever since ROTK came out on DVD I have been saying I wanted to compile a "LOTR in 30 seconds" type thing. Except of course more than 30 seconds. But basically I guess just a MP3 file that sums up the story/all the best lines from the 3 films.

Because sometimes you have that desire to immerse yourself in LOTR but you don't have time to watch 12 hours worth of it, or the desire to put in a dvd and scene-skip through it.

So I'm soliciting suggestions, and then once the project is done I will be happy to share with anyone and everyone.

Kevin Smith said it best: it's just a movie about walking.

I want to see if I can capture the emotional journey of the films through the speeches/conversations

How about doing it in 3 minutes and 39 seconds:
In Da Trilogy (http://www.almarks.com/idt)

It's half of a laugh. Kind of like a "heh", instead of a "haha".

Awesome - I love those guys. IIRC, at least one of them (Bret) appeared in the trilogy.

Yup, he sure is:

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0167260/) (2003) .... Elf Escort
... aka Herr der Ringe: Die Rückkehr des Königs, Der (Germany)
... aka The Return of the King (USA: short title)

I'm gonna have to watch it again to see if I could spot him.
