Metroid Prime 3, Space Tycoon, both look kinda cool. I'm awfully tempted to get a Wii instead of the big 2....

Great. Those 2 High School Musical games come out 4 days before my 7-year old's birthday, AND they're available on the PS2. I'm thrilled beyond words.

You have daughters, right K? I'm sure she won't know it unless you remind her.. :D

I have a 19 year old cousin obsesses with High School Musical as well - I just don't get it.

Resident Evil 4 and The Bigs are due out next month also. I know Resident Evil is just a remake for the Wii, but I missed out on it the first time around, so I'm looking forward to this release.

The Bigs looks interesting. I usually don't consider the arcade style sports games, but with the fun I've had with the Wii Sports baseball game, I'll definitely give it a look.

And HSM2 comes out this summer, as well. Yippee! That's funny about the 19-year old. When we went to the concert, there were these girls who looked high school senior-ish in age getting into it, and my wife and I were shocked. We thought for sure they were there with a younger sister, or maybe there to make fun of everyone, but no, they were seriously into it. Amazing. I guess it's the Grease of this generation or something.

RE4, Strikers, Metroid, Madden, Battalion Wars 2, possibly Tiger Woods, that's a lot of Wii games coming up I'll want.

The DS lineup looks kinda weak though.

Scarface is supposedly due this summer for the Wii also, of course it's just a port.

Smash Bros website relaunched. Nothing earth-shattering revealed, but they do promise daily updates in a blog style section. There are some screens and a list of composers that have contributed to the game (probably the most for any single game ever, it is quite impressive). People are of course pouring over the list trying to work out what new characters might be in the game.

edit: hm meant to post this in the official wii games thread??

Is there EVER going to be a Fire Emblem DS game?

I can't believe they haven't released one yet.

I think the latest Fire Emblem was released on Wii for Japan in February, no US release date announced yet. Never played any games in the series but I've heard that people who like Advance Wars typically like Fire Emblem so I might look for the older ones from GBA and GC sometime.

Mario Strikers is promising. First Wii game with full online play. Looks fun, too.

Man, seeing as how my birthday is August 20... man, that's a couple of good games on there for the Wii. I notice Mario Galaxy is absent as is Smash Bros. Also, with better control, Batallion Wars could be a good platform Starcraft-wannabe. I have high hopes for that.

The DS calendar looks a bit sparse. Then again, Pokemon just came out so they can ride that for quite a while. Aside from Zelda, not sure what the next big thing is for the DS, actually. SimCity and a new Phoenix Wright pique my interest but that's about it.
