I have two video cards right now, and my gaming card is acting up on me.

I have a Gainward NVidia GeForce 7950 GT Bliss 256 MB card as my gaming card, and an alternate ATI Radeon X600 XT card from a friend's old PC.

When I'm using my GeForce card, I get screen artifacts and a garbled screen starting from the BIOS loading screen itself. I really can't pinpoint why it's doing this, as it's not the heat (temp is always steady at about 45 celcius).

If your temps are ok, then it may be a sign that your PSU is dying.

I've already got 500 watts into my rig. Does this mean I'll need to get up at about 650?

A 500W power supply should be fine for that card. Is the PSU old? Artifacts with cards are usually from either overheating or not getting enough power.

The entire rig was built last November. I've already checked if i've got enough voltage for the fan and the card, and I do. It's pretty frustrating.:(
