This kid was one of the biggest names to come out of the recruiting ranks in ages, and he hasn't disappointed the media since with all his off the wall comments and just general poor attitude. And now, this.

BATON ROUGE, La. -- LSU backup quarterback Ryan Perrilloux has been suspended from the team indefinitely after he was cited for trying to illegally enter a riverboat casino in Baton Rouge.

LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette said Tuesday the 20-year-old Perrilloux was issued a misdemeanor summons by police after allegedly trying to use his older brother's driving license to enter the Hollywood Casino.

The minimum age to board a riverboat casino in Louisiana is 21.

Perrilloux was one of the top recruits in the country in 2004, and was listed No. 2 on the depth chart behind starter Matt Flynn after spring practice.

Perrilloux was cited for one count of misrepresentation to gain access and released, said Baton Rouge Police Cpl. L'Jean McKneely said. Police were called to the casino about 5 p.m. Saturday by the boat's security guards, McKneely said.

Bonnette said Perrilloux could return to the team at coach Les Miles' discretion.

"The coach is going to monitor his situation," Bonnette said. "He could return, but that's certainly not definite."

Perrilloux could not be reached for comment Tuesday. Directory assistance did not have a listed telephone number for him.

I couldn't imagine this being a huge thing for him, it was unlikely he was going to be the starter this year, so maybe they will suspend him for a few games, but thats no big deal.

I think that's a fairly huge deal. I suspect the NCAA frowns on athletes hanging out in casinos.

Meh. He probably wanted to go to the buffet and was checking out some girls.

From all reports Ryan P. has just ended up being one kid who will not mature. Not good to be that immature and be a QB.

I have no doubts that if he gets on a college football field his talent alone could win some games. But right now I hope incoming freshman QB Lee will beat him out when Lee is a RSFr in 2008. If Ryan is as immature as he sounds, I wouldn't be surprised at all if he never starts at LSU.

Didn't he originally commit to another school before transferring his commitment to LSU?
