We have a couple acre pond on some land near my grandparents house. I've fished this pond since I was old enough to hold a fishing pole. My biggest fish was probably 3-1/2 pounds, a few years ago. This past weekend my dad's friend went fishing and this is what he pulled up...

An 11 pounder. Just after the spawn (pretty late this year)...on a plastic worm.

That is one of the biggest bass I've ever seen not in a fishing magazine...

I second that. Folks used to live out at a country club, right on an awesome lake for fishing. Could drive the 10 minutes over to their place, hop in the golf cart and get a round in anytime I wanted, or hop in the boat and do a little fishing.
