Something I saw today that I am sure will cause more lively debate on the whole Iraq issue. This one is dedicated to those folks out there who have said in so many words that Saddam really isn't that bad. You be the judge.

Saddam's a great guy once you get on his good side. Just make sure you watch your back, and always let him win at air hockey.

Well, that convinced me. That piece of anecdotal evidence was all it took. I believe that we should attack immediately, regardless of how many U.S. troops will die. So what if Hussein launches missiles at Israel and Israel responds with a nuke in downtown Baghdad? If the Kurds were supposed to go in to save all die in a war with the Turks, fuck 'em. 'Cause we got that bastard Hussein and at the end of the day it doesn't matter who dies as long as we get that sum'bitch. And anybody who says otherwise is unamerican and should be shot.
Or something like that.

Yeah, I'm sure they just made up all that stuff anyway.

This is a case where choosing to "rush to judgement" would be the wise course:).

I admit I was wrong. When I said that Sadam was a great guy, I was apperently talking about one of the Saddam look-a-likes. I am sorry, but we had a great swim in the Tigris and I just fell for him. I can never overcome the shame when I found out he wasn't really Saddam.

Did anyone even say Sadaam wasn't a bad guy? He obviously is. Declaring war on the innocent people he controls is not such a good thing though...

Joe Canadian's Grandfather- 1939:
"Did anyone even say Hitler wasn't a bad guy? He obviously is. Declaring war on the innocent people he controls is not such a good thing though...
eh?" :)
Sorry, I just figured if the appearers are going to compare Bush to Hitler, it's about time we start comparing Saddam to Hitler as well.

Not funny :(.
My grandfather faught in WWII, and he is damn proud of it. And I'm damn proud of him.
Hitler was invading other countries... last time I checked Iraq wasn't invading any countries at the present time.

Glad to hear your grandfather did what had to be done. I'd be proud of him too.
My dad dropped out of high school at age 17 to join the Navy and fight in WWII. I'm awfully proud of him as well.
I'd respond to your comment about Hitler invading other countries, but honestly, I get tired of arguing every now and then.

People have been comparing Saddam to Hitler throughout the "Give War A Chance" process, I have not heard Bush compared to Hitler ... yet:). So who are the "appearers"?

I think it was Nelson Mandela that compared Bush to Hitler. I'm not positive though

Nelson Mandela, the actor David Clennon, and many of the anti-war protesters have compared Bush to Hitler.

Bush has handled this thing all wrong. I agree that war with Saddam may be the only remedy at this point, but Bush is alienating the rest of the world with his cowboy attitude.

All jokes aside, Sylvester Stallone vs. Arnold Swarzeneggar would be a far superior debate..
we werent talking about the debate?
