The youngin' has delivered with another great addition to the FTB. So let's proceed to read about his experience in his early lifespan:

Yay, another FOFC legacy for us to all find out how much we didn't know!

What DID bring you to FOFC, at the tender age of 15? I had never even contemplated a sports text sim when I was 15...

Thanks for being the first tk. You get a gold star.

First off, I can't believe I was 15. That's crazy. Anyways, I was always a stat kid in my youth. Before games like NBA Live came out with dynasty modes or stat tracking, I'd take the stats and build boxscores. I'd usually only do that for like 2 games and then quit because it was time consuming and interest waned, but I've always felt like I am more into the results than the actual game that transpires.

Which leads me to being on EA Sports website and reading about Front Office Football 2001. Yes, the EA Sports juggernaut is the reason Jim Gindin has made money off of me. Well, also, I had just got to FOFC when the old Sideline was still up but defunct, and somehow, I guess I searched for FOF 2001 and landed here, at the ripe age of 15.

I understand the Cinci love...but why the Rockets?

Quite simply, because there is no NBA team in the Queen City! Since Jordan left, I have always had issues connecting with a team. Liked the Magic for a few years ('95 title run, particularly). Also liked the Trailblazers in the early 2000's. I don't know, I guess I got tired of not having a favorite NBA team. Then Sports Illustrated runs this very early article about this Chinese 7 footer named Yao Ming. Quickly, I have knowledge over all of my friends and keep telling them about this guy who didn't show up until a year or two later. Basically, the 2002 draft was a big moment for me. Factoring in the Rox took Yao, clutchcity.net (now clutchfans.net) is the best fan NBA site on the web, and that I was unashamedly a fan of the Stevie Franchise/Cuttino Mobley duo, it just worked from there.

If we were to make a FOFC movie, who would be cast as you?

Great question. I don't think they'd cast a blockbuster-esque actor, because at this point I only have a part time role at FOFc. I want to say Giovanni Ribisi, only he's a little too creepy. Nevermind, I got it. I think Casey Affleck would fit. I based that only on role, I don't think I based it on personality (that's hard to do anyways).

What is your least favorite food?

I'm a pretty picky and plain eater. I don't like lavish foods with fourteen toppings. I also have a problem with the word "cream." I won't touch sour cream, cream cheese, whip cream, etc.

Why is the sky blue?

Because it's a safe color. Blue is friendly. Yes. That is why the sky is blue.

Do you drive (on a daily basis, I mean, I know a lot of places won't let students have cars all the time)? What kind of car?

Yeah. I know what you mean though, for instance IIRC my buddies didn't have their cars up at Ohio State their freshman years. But yes, Wright State is largely considered a commuter school and I drive everywhere. '96 teal Honda Accord. It's funny because I used to love that car when I got it, but now it's got a bunch of roblems, and when my friends casually refer to it as a "piece of shit," it hurts a little more every time.

Do you find it creepy that people think you're FM's son?

FrogMan is a great looking guy, I'm not surprised at all why someone would think that.

How do you have like 9,000 friends on Facebook? Do you even know any of those people?

Haha, it's not that many. I do have a lot of people on there. And yea, I would say I have atleast met 95% of them. Facebook arrived when I was a freshman in college so EVERYBODY joined it and went a little crazy with it at first. Then, my sophomore year I met a ton of new people. And people just knew me. But yea, if I go down a friendlist, I can atleast explain how I know them. Which is satisfying.

When, exactly, did the age jokes get, ahem, old?

I wouldn't say they ever got old. Maybe when I was at like 17 or 18 and trying to establish my maturity, maybe then. I think the only time I ever got pissed off about being young was not being taken seriously. Back then, I think SkyDog didn't show me the respect each member should equally get. I'm pretty sure, however, that I did some really stupid and childish things that deserved that kind of disregard. But it's all gravy now.

Is Tom Coughlin as mean as they say?

I love Tom Coughlin. I was a fan of his when he was with the Jags and the Giants. You can't beat firey white-haired men.

3281?

3 = favorite number, interestingly enough originating from this guy that played for the Bearcats in the early 90's, Damon Flint.
28 = Corey Dillon
81 = Carl Pickens

I combined the 8's and got 3281. Oh by the way, this was my first AOL screenname, which is why I didn't just go with Shorty. You understand.

How many STDs have you caught while at college?

None that can kill me! Just kidding. I think that's the scariest part about college. You know std's are looming, you just don't know where at! But zero. So far. I'm not promising anything.

Has college turned you into a dirty commie?

College has done a lot of things to me, but turning me into a dirty commie, it has not.

What is your major?

I will now attempt to surprise everybody. Or for irony's sake not surprise anybody. I'm currently not enrolled. I still live 5 minutes from Wright State, I just haven't taken a class in about a year now. I really want to go back in the fall, but for what? My major was English. Yet, I don't know if I wanted to continue down that road, which is why I took a quarter off, which turned into a year.

What classes outside of your major do you enjoy attending?

While I was in college, I started to take an interest into psych.

Shorty wanna be a thug?

Shorty wanna be, shorty gonna be a thug. Great song. For all the non rap fans in attendance, MikeVic made a Tupac reference.

Who are your favourite Cincy-related players now? All-time?

I tend to root for most all players that come and go from the Reds. Still like Sean Casey, Dmitri Young, Paul Konerko. Right now, my FAVORITE Red is probably going to be Josh Hamilton. I just remember following the, I think it was 1999, draft where he and Josh Beckett went 1 & 2. Only baseball draft I ever followed. Kept those names in my head and always wondered what was happening with Hamilton when Beckett was taking off.

As for the Bengals, it's different. It's easy to like players that leave the Reds because we suck and trade our players away. The players usually aren't selfish and leave. My favorite Bengal is Chad Johnson, with safety Madieu Williams on his tail. Love Madieu Williams.

I also root for any player that makes it in the pros from UC, notably I want to see James White get some garbage minutes for the Spurs if they are trouncing the Cavs.

All-time favorite player is Barry Larkin hands down. It's hard in this day and age to start and end your career on one team and he did it. He's also from Cincinnati which just is a 10 on the intangible scale.

how tall are you?

5'11"

What's your favorite moment in Reds history?

Such a great question because the Reds were historically a great franchise yet during my life they have been bottom feeders. I would like to think that the Big Red Machine was the greatest assembly of talent 1 through 8 than any team will ever see, but that isn't a moment. I'd like to say Johnny Van der Meer's back to back no hitters (in '41?) will never be done again, but those are two seperate moments.

So I'll just put it this way: September 16, 1988. I was 2, so I don't remember this at all, but that was the day that Tom Browning threw his perfect game. Now, it's nearly 20 years later and only 17 people total in 120+ years of baseball have thrown a perfect game. It's the greatest achievement in baseball. We were spoiled when Cone & Wells did it in continuing years for the same ballclub because that is just so improbable.

So there it is. Tom Browning.

My least favorite moment is sitting in my parent's van listening to the Reds-Braves broadcast (in 1995, last time we made the playoffs) and hearing Reggie Sanders swing and miss on three straight pitches. I guess it was a warning sign that things would never get better.

What is the first football game (NFL) that you remember seeing in person or on TV?

Bonus points - if on TV - who did the play by play?

Tough question! I remember being very young and watching a Bengals-Browns game at my mom's co-workers house. It was like I was playing with a toy but still kind of watching the game. Maybe 4 or 5 years old. I just remember Jim Breech was involved.

I certainly have no idea who did the pbp. Sweet if I'd have known that question though!

Why College? Didn't want to go straight to pimpin out of HS?

Everybody goes to college, and I got to move out of my parent's house! Heh.

Besides making FrogMan a Grandpa, where do you see your self in 20 years.

I honestly don't know. With being out of school I have been given a lot of time to reflect on where my life is headed. I need to get back to school and hopefully when I'm 41 I'll have a hot ass wife and two kids with a nice little home.

Is there anything that you learned via FOFC that helped you out in your college transition?

Nothing off the top of my head. Just to make sure to loudly/aggressively jingle keys when unlocking my dorm door my freshman year. You know, by chance that my roomate was gay and having sex on a bunk. Thanks eaglesfan.

What do you think of Kemo Von Ohlehoffen?

He was nothing more than pedestrian in his time spent in Cincinnati. Tack on the fact that he "inadvertently" (we'll use that term loosely) tore Palmer's ACL, MCL, and PCL; he is one of my least favorite players in the league. BTW, it's Kimo von Oelhoffen. I'm a stickler about spelling names correctly.

Can you really consider 8-8 to be a solid season?

Abolutely not. If we don't win 10 games this year, we'll probably have a new head football coach in Cincinnati.

What the fuck is that chili covered spaghetti mess?

I hope your own personal definition of mess equates to what I consider greatness. Skyline Chili is far and away my favorite fast food joint in all the land. My only problem is that it's getting a little pricey - a 3-way will cost you ~$5.50.

Do you wish you were a little bit taller?
Would you be more of a baller?
If you had a girl that looked good would you call her?
Do you currently have a rabbit in a hat and a 64 impala?

That song by Skee-lo was tight when I was like 7 or 8. Nice.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I don't know anymore. When I got to college 3 years ago, I wanted to ultimately become a sports journalist. Writing is the only thing that comes naturally to me, and I have a ton of sports knowledge. It all makes sense, until I realized that breaking into the business isn't easy and there are thousands of people doing the same thing who are probably better. So I don't know.

For the FTB: Why'd you stop going to college at the beginning of 2006?

Basically answered in my last response; I don't know what I want to do yet and felt I was heading down a wrong road.

What are your top 5 movies?

Finally a movie question! Pulp Fiction is my favorite movie of all-time. Following this is Fight Club and The Shawshank Redemption. Too many great lines in both of those movies. After top 3 it gets a little more difficult because I love a ton of films, but I'll add Casablanca and Swingers. To any casual movie-goer, if you have never seen Casablanca because it's from 1942 or it is black and white, you are doing a severe injustice to yourself.

After winning the conference tourny and making the NCAA tournament, what is your favorite Wright State sports moment since you began attending?

My favorite moment is attending the Butler game where we came back and beat them this year. Wood was amazing and we rushed the court. Just a great feeling.

Do you have plans to go back to school?

The short answer is yes. I don't know when, I know it should be soon but why go back when I don't know which direction to head yet? I want to go back when I'm ready, and not just because I feel like that's what I should do. I need to have the proper motivation.

What have you been doing for the last year and a half?

Working. I have worked 3 seperate jobs, one doing warehouse stuff. Another I was a customer service rep through an insurance company. Right now, I am working for the lowest salary of my life and the most easy/boring job in the world at a place called Tropical Smoothie.

How's Les Nessman doing over at WKRP?

I'm a little too young to have any memory of WKRP in Cincinnati.

Ken Anderson or Carson Palmer?

Again, Ken's a little too old for me too have any memory of his playing days, so I have to side with Carson. I grew up with Boomer.

Why do people pronounce it BANGals (after a all girl band from the 80s) when it's spelled BENGals?

I think it has a lot to do with people's accents. I thought I was saying Bengals fine when I got to WSU and everyone started asking why I was saying it BANGALS. So I've had to conform and make sure I'm saying BENGALS. It's weird.

3 things you want to do before you die?

Visit Asia. I was to go to a baseball game in Japan. Plus asian woman are smoking hot.
I want to write a book.
Have some kids so I can pass down my knowledge to them.

3 people (live, dead, or fictional) that you would like to have a drink with.

Great question. I think I would like to sit down with Dusty Hoffman. He's really a smart guy, I think he doesn't get enough credit for all the brilliant work he's done over the years. I would like to talk baseball with Koufax. That's my favorite baseball era and I think he is the best pitcher ever. Then, Ali. Ali when Ali was Ali/Clay and not broken down senior citizen Ali.

Favorite TV show/movie as a kid and favorite TV show/movie now.

When I was ten I probably watched Bad Boys with my brother like 100 times. I loved that fucking movie. As far as TV shows go, I watched a bunch of cartoons like Inspector Gadget/GI Joes, etc. As I got a little older I watched Fresh Prince and Friends all the time.

Since I already answered the top 5 movies, my favorite movie that I've seen in the past 2 years is Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. I can watch that over and over. My favorite tv show is Entourage, but of all-time is Scrubs. I love Scrubs. You either get it or you don't.

What's one of the strangest things you've ever witnessed?

Witnessed? Hmm, I don't know. I've been around some pretty crazy things, but they're all drinking stories! Haha and not strange just impressive. I need to live a little longer to see something strange I suppose.

Will you please fire Herman Frazier?

I had to wiki his name. Sorry, I have no affiliation with Hawaii.

Do you have a current girlfriend/fiancee that we don't know about?

Most people read the thread I posted last month detailing the fall out between my ex and I. Very tough time for me but I've bounced back and am ejoying the single life.

How many FOF leagues are you a part of?

1. VPI's Golden Era Football League (GEFL). VPI does such a good job running the league I only want my MP experience to be in his hands.

Who was the first team/sport that you recollect rooting for?

Football and the Bengals.

Do you actually shave or do you still have baby face?

LOL yes. I have shitty facial hair though. It all grows on my chin/neck. I get no cheek or sideburn love. I can grow a solid neckbeard, however.

What type of entertainment do you enjoy on your free time?

Watching movies, playing basketball, occaisonally golfing even though I'm terrible. I also like playing pool if I'm at a bar.

What is the mOst proudest moment of your life?

Oh I don't know. I haven't achieved anything of great significance yet.

Any past friends/girlfriends that you think about from time to time?

All three past gf's for varying reasons. The oldest two I have good memories of, and past one I just don't like thinking about. I can't help it that I do, though. I think about my past friends a lot too. I never hang out with my HS buddies and that makes me sad. I feel like I didn't make much of an effort to catch up because it's an hour away and I get caught up in what is going on here so much now. I also think about my best childhood friend and next door neighbor who got killed in Iraq over New Years this year. I think about him and his family.

Any event in the your life that you wish you could change?

A few things. I wish I'd have done better in school. I wish I'd have handled my ex's differently; however, everything happens for a reason and these are building blocks that I can only use to better myself for the future.

What is you most favorite feature of the female anatomy?

Hips. Hips do it. A girl with curves is the sexy as all hell. I love everything about a woman's body though. Except the anus.

How do you currently feel at your current position in life?

Well I'm not completely satisfied but I am doing what I want to do right now. I am working and still having a great time with friends. I'm 21. I have plenty of time to think about the rest of my life.

Did you participate in any sports growing up?

Played baseball from t-ball to the 2nd grade. Played basketball in rec league from 2nd grade to 12th grade. Played in YMCA basketball my freshman year of college. Slow pitch softball my junior and senior year of high school. Intramural basketball my 2 years of college.

I was always decent at basketball but undersized and graduated with 404 people so competition was tough at the school level.

Your greatest fear?

Dying.

Who is your most favorite athlete in any sport?

Jordan.

If there was one image of your life that you wish you could frame, what would the image consist of?

My family when we were all together and happy.

What is the size of the family you grew up in?

4. My brother (he's 24 now), my mother and my father.

One thing you do that embarrases your family?

Um, nothing! My parents would never be embarrassed with me. They are very understanding and loving.

What is something that drives you absolutely crazy?

Careless people. On a funnier scale, I get absolute chills just THINKING about barbacue sauce on fingers touching a napkin. Creepiest feeling ever.

Any interesting characters in your family tree?

My mom's side is related to John & John Quincy Adams. So I've heard. I've never seen any proof though.

If you could choose a custom title for yourself, what would it be?

That's for you to decide!

Do you have any serious vices you are trying to control?

I have drank for nearly a month straight but I am not trying to control that. I can control that. Smoking though, that's tough. I picked it up like 4 years ago and I want to quit. It really is hard though. I feel like a bad person just admitting these things to you guys even though tons of people do it.

What are some thing that no one on this board knows about you?

I have incredibly sweaty hands. It's a condition called hyperhydrosis. It's not that bad in the winter but I hate seeing friends during the summer! There's always that requisite handshake and I try to avoid it because people are like eww WTF? Meeting girls used to suck, but I really don't care anymore and just explain it.

Who is your closest family member outside of your immediate family?

I would venture to say my dad's mom, my grandmother. My family isn't huge by any means and most live out of Ohio besides my dad's parents. My grandpa has had alzheimer's for about 6 years now and is really heading toward his downward spiral. So that leaves ole G-ma. She's a great lady that I don't appreciate enough sometimes.

What is your current job?

I work at Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Fairborn. I make sandwiches and wraps. I am a sandwich/wrap technician by trade. There's a lot of downtime.

What's your opinion/thoughts on Bob Huggins?

I love Bob Huggins. If it were my choice he would still be the Cincinnati Bearcats head coach. He was/is a poor man's version of Bobby Knight and Nancy Zimmer will go down as the worst president in UC history. Aside from Cincinnati (my hometown team), and Wright State (my alma mater), I now hope West Va. does well, strictly because Huggy is the head coach.

$5.50 for a three-way isn't bad, at least you're getting it the right way (proper style chilli and stuff). Here you can go to a chili place that thinks it knows what it's doing (it doesn't) and pay $7+ for a 3-way. Then again, I live in yuppie-ville...

Careless people. On a funnier scale, I get absolute chills just THINKING about barbacue sauce on fingers touching a napkin. Creepiest feeling ever.

Huh? Like when it's sticky or runny?

I enjoyed reading your answers, Shorty. I wish you the best of luck finding the "motivation" (as you called it) to go back to school, and hope you find something that doesn't feel wrong--I really gotta give you props for stopping when it did, not a lot of people would have the guts to do so.

After top 3 it gets a little more difficult because I love a ton of films, but I'll add Casablanca and Swingers. To any casual movie-goer, if you have never seen Casablanca because it's from 1942 or it is black and white, you are doing a severe injustice to yourself.
Nice choice - everyone should see Casablanca at least once, if for no other reason than to realize just how much from that movie has entered the public lexicon.

Nice job Shorty. If I may, let me offer some unsolicited advice - if sports journalism is your passion, ignore the number of others out there also trying to get into the biz. Better to pursue your passion even if it forces you to endure some tough times trying to get established than go down some other path and find yourself in 20 years questioning your decision.

I'd also say, don't wait too long to go back to school - the longer you go, the harder it will be to go back. You don't have to pick a major that will be your expected career path - chances are you'll change directions at some point anyway (and probably multiple times). If you've enjoyed Psych classes, why not take some more and see if that's a major that you enjoy - doesn't mean you have to feel compelled to pursue a career in that field. You can always go back to school later to pursue a more specialized field once you feel more confident about your career aspirations. That's what I did - I took a few Psych classes, enjoyed them, had a lot of friends also in that major and graduated with a Psych degree even though I didn't have a lot of interest in making that my career. I then went back to school 4 years later to pursue what has become my current career.

Anyway, nice job and best of luck to you.

Is that hat the "Franchise" model from Twins Enterprises? If so, I know what you mean. I must have 50 of the damn things, from MLB teams to Single-A.

BTW, and I say this as a guy who had a similar career track at age 21... get your ass back in school. General studies, basket weaving, it doesn't fucking matter. Go back to school, go back to school, go back to school.

And yeah, Shorty's taller than me too. Damn that sucks.

Yes. I will never go back to NewEra or any other cap besides Twins Enterprises Franchise style. It's just too sexy.

Interesting read. I don't think I understand the reference to three-way though.

Three-way chili = chili, spaghetti, and shredded cheddar cheese

Four-way chili = chili, spaghetti, shredded cheddar cheese, and onions (I think)

I don't know. I'm new to the area and had it for the first time a couple of weeks ago when we went to Kings Island. I prefer regular old chili, but I've also had it on top of fritos.

You and Noop both have sweaty palms. I know he walks around with a napkins in his pocket to limit the problem.

Well now you know why I played CB instead of WR wet hands unless I had gloves on.

Shorty you do know that you can have surgey to correct sweaty palms right? Its a one day thing only thing is you will start sweating from another part of your body(i.e. back, foot, etc)

Onions or beans.

The 5 way is onions AND beans.

And it's awesome. You love it.

Do you sweat for no reason, or is it brought on by temperature, or by nerves?

I had the 3-way, and my only gripe is that there was so little chili, I didn't really taste much of it. I could do without the spaghetti and add the cheese, onions, and beans. The spaghetti is unnecessary, IMO. If I'm eating chili, I want chili, not spaghetti with a different tasting spaghetti sauce (which is about what I thought I was eating).

I thought it had something to do with the fact you would out run the football before it got there, coupled with the fact you didn't like to run routes over the middle.(Pussy) Just playing with you, atleast we can live out our dreams in flag football.
