Ok, I have in my high school coaching and teaching career have served as a jv boys soccer coach (1991 and 1992), varsity boys soccer coach (1993-2001), jv baseball coach (1998-1999), varsity baseball coach (2000-2006), and had pretty good success at all. I gave up the soccer gig because I liked baseball better. With the birth of my daughter in April of 2006, I gave it up. Now, I'm expecting a second baby in November. A week ago a former soccer parent called, begging me to coach the girls varsity team. They needed a coach. So I'm tempted. All of the preseason work is in the summer, to where I could have my wife home from work with my daughter, practice after school would end at 4:15, so I'd get home the same time as my wife, and games are only 2x a week, instead of the 5-6x per week with baseball. On top of all of this, it would pay for one of the two kids daycare, for the year. My wife told me to go for it, so I am. So there is my new venture. If you guys are interested, I'll keep you posted on my season that begins July 23rd. They haven't had a winning season since I was coaching the boys in about 97, so I'll see what I can get done.

One of my youth leaders was a girls soccer coach. he said that he loved coaching the girls because they understand the technical aspect of soccer and found that most played because they loved to play and wanted to get better.
Good Luck
