Being #30 is worse. It means you had the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd best record in the league, and didn't make it to the big dance. In this case, it was the best record in the league four straight years without a Super Bowl Appearance.

But on the brighter side, you DO have the draft figured out!

Getting better, but not quite there yet.

I always hate those years you go 15-1, and then lose in the first round of the playoffs.

Indeed. It was a pick that was definitely outside of my system, and because I was *really* wanting to have a young RB in place to step in to replace my starter in a year or so. I didn't think that Dawson was going to pan out, but given the circumstances, I took the risk with that pick. He's now 22/40 and I might as well cut him. I posted the top backs in my league elsewhere, but here they are again:

McKnight dropped to 38/38 in training camp this year (2017) so the timing of the risk was about right. The good news is that this year I was able to grab a 33/53 rookie who stayed at 33/53 after camp. The bad news is that the rook was a conflict with my outstanding blocking FB who is the position leader, and there's not really another decent option at FB. Further, until the AI makes its cuts, there's not a single FA RB or FB who would be my position leader.

In my current career through 2065, I've now lost 9 Front office Bowls(won 7), and 17 conference finals out of 51 playoff appearances. Believe me, I know the concept of unfullfilled expectations for the team.
