After watching Hogan's Heroes I got to wondering about this upcomming TV season. Will there be a short 30-minute WAR comedy?

I think we are overdue for say a Vietnam comedy.

How about Saddam's Follies? Each week Saddam has to come up with new wacky ways to avoid the U.N. inspectors finding his stockpiles of WMA. At the end of each episode the intpectors come close to the smoking gun but Saddam manages to get them moved just in time. Silly Saddam!

how about...

"When George Attacks!"

Bush picks a random nation to invade once a week from a big list in his Encarta encyclopedia...with hilarious consequences!

Boy, I hope you are young, because you need to go to history class now.

M*A*S*H took place during the Korean War/Conflict.

Is Comedy Central still airing new episodes of "That's My Bush"?

how about "Who Wants to be an Appeaser?". The winner could get a one way ticket to France.

How about a French war comedy. Gerrard Depardeau(sp) could play a wacky general always getting into silly misunderstandings with German forces. Each week, they somehow leave cities open and run off to fight in the next episode.
However, the writers would give up after a month and it would be cancelled.

M.A.S.H was/is one of my most favorite shows ever...i thought it was brilliant the way they mixed comedy with serious issues.

Every once in awhile, Comedy Central will do a little marathon fo all the episodes of "That's My Bush." They did one a few weeks ago.

Number of countries US has attacked or moved troops in without UN approval or that countries consent in the past year: 0
Number of countries France has attacked or moved troops into without UN approval or that countries consent in the past year: 1

Right. And the show's political message was solely limited to discussing the wisdom of our many-years-old involvement in Korea. Right.

Do we have a sarcasm smilie yet?

Could you be more specific please ?

Could you explain me what happened in Cuba and "The Bay of Pigs" ?

Note that I am not sarcastic and I really want to learn, thanks !

hey alf, as long as we're going back 40 years in history, let's go back 20 more...

can you explain to me what happened in Europe and "World War II"?

By the way, I believe the country Bishop was talking about is the Ivory Coast.

Actually I think the Bay of Pigs was a C.I.A. operation.

The US has not been in a war for over 50 years. At least that is the last time the US officially declared war.

Conflicts---Yes
Police Actions---Yes
Storms---Yes
Shields---Yes

But, Not a war in over 50 years!!!

I was thinking about a comedy based upon the ineptitude of French Imperialism in Vietnam in the 1950's. They could call it Le Es'Cargot.

It would be an ironic look at the last serious attempt of a dying nation to hold on to the last vestiges of its colonial grip of a dying dream.

Sorry I took so long to get back to you, I was at a wedding and didn't have internet access. I'm not going to argue about the past of countries, because the Bay of Pigs was 40 years ago and my comment was specifically about the last year in response to your crack about "Georges W Bush World War tour soon."

CamEdwards was right when he said I was referring to the Ivory Coast, which France sent troops into then requested UN permission ex post facto (Resolution 1464).

Then you would have to set the show in Algeria (54-62)
