Story was just on the news that some people have been struck by lightning during thunderstorms and suffered some nasty burns, in addition to the iPod being fried.

Just to be clear, there's nothing inherently worse about an iPod than any other portable electronic device you might have up to your ear when you're out in a nasty thunderstorm.

Seriously - when there's thunder & lightening out, I'm a little freaked out getting from my car to the house. There's people out jogging and listening to their Ipods?

Yeah, I don't like running when it's nice outside. Let alone when it's lightning out.
