Eastside Football League is about to enter the Free Agency stage prior to beginning our 3rd season (now is a good time to join as you'll have a chance to sign some FA's and draft your own players) and have the following teams available:
Chicago Bears
2007 Record: 12-3-1
Notes: Reached the Conference Final in 2007 only to be beaten by the double bowl winners Philly.
$20mill in cap space and solid team!
Pittsburgh Steelers
2007 Record: 12-4-0
Notes: Unlucky to lose the wildcard game in 2007, $10m in cap space.
New York Giants
2007 Record: 8-7-1
Notes: $17m in cap space and a smart GM could take this team far.
Kansas City Chiefs
2007 Record: 8-7-1
Notes: A franchise that needs some work but does have a handful of good players to build on, and some cap space to work with $22m.
Atlanta Falcons
2007 Record: 7-9-0
Notes: A franchise with a reasonable defence but needs some work on offence. Cap space $19m.
Dallas Cowboys
2007 Record: 3-13-0
Notes: Lacking a QB and direction, would suit a GM who wants to piss off our commish by turning this team into a powerhouse, needs serious work though. Plenty of cap space at $35m.
San Francisco 49ers
2007 Record: 7-9-0
Notes: This could be a very good team in the future, good young QB's (Smith and Stanton), just needs some nurturing. Cap space to burn with $57m!!
Denver Broncos
2007 Record: 8-8-0
Notes: Another franchise that just needs some nurturing, a better team than it's record suggests, and with a trade or two and some clever drafting could be very good indeed. $24m in cap space too!
Tennessee Titans
2007 Record: 4-12-0
Notes: A team that probably needs a GM prepared to take it and build from the bottom up. $11m in cap space.
Houston Texans
2007 Record: 6-9-1
Notes: A team that will struggle without a clever GM. $6m in cap space.
Washington Redskins
2007 Record: 6-10-0
Notes: Has quite a few good young players as a base but as with most neglected teams, needs a little work to get them where they should be. $14m in cap space.
Baltimore Ravens
2007 Record: 4-12-0
Notes: A few very good players but a lot of junk, needs some work and not a lot of cap space with only $13m.
We play 2 games a week (Wednesday and Sunday, with an interim file on Monday and Saturday for anyone who wants to make any signings etc.) This year we are introducing our Monday Night Football with selected games being covered individually on a Monday night (although you can still view the file on a Sunday if you so wish).
Also, we regularly meet in mIRC, it speeds up any trade talks and also is a place to talk trash.
