Time to say goodbye to HT guys, I'll miss my Dragons (and for those of you who remember, my Pittbulls too) but I have no interest left whatsoever in the game and that last bandaid job that was announced didn't do enough to give me hope that this game would change.

The game was fun for a while, until I got to division II. I mean, it was fun competing up there, the Dragons even once ranked in the top 12 teams in Canada, but it was a losing business. A money losing business, sadly...

My FOFC brethren, we've been through a lot with this game. I remember when I used to copy/paste ratings of your games, rating that many of you posted in one new thread every week. Good old times, the times when our teams changed players a couple times per season. Good times...

I'll be stepping down my moderator post, not that you'll really see a difference, as I never was a very active moderator, not that you guys ever made it necessary for me to be.

Aw heck, why the big speech, you'll probably be what, 15 still playing to read this message. Oh well, good luck to those of you still playing it.

My players have been transfer listed although I'm not too sure what's worth for any of you in there. I know Enrique Bravo Lopez will make an awesome coach someday though...

You probably have seen it, I'm now Trukzing (http://www.trukz.com) and BATracing (http://batracer.com). For how long? Probably not as long as I've Hattricked, but who knows...

Sad to see you go, but I do understand.

I'm going to be staying with the game, though I'm not sure I'll be really working myself up this season, as if I demote back to IV, I don't think it'd be the worst thing in the world.

I'll probably stick around HT for another year or so, after that it's all up in the air as my team will be aged with little hope of replacement.

I don't suppose there's a chat room for any of these other games? That was the nice thing about Omerta when it was big- you could find 10+ FOFC'ers in there occasionally for a chat. I know it's been thought about and shot down for years but it would be nice to have an fofc chat and the hattie one was one of the better but now it's lacking in people due to no interest.

We really could use just an all purpose room for fofc that's always open but, for instance, has more people during hattie game time or prime time for some of the other games or sporting events.

SIa ways back, gone gold had a passworded IRC channel set up on one of the servers and it'd get folks passing through. not a huge amount of traffic but a fair amount of regulars, pretty much daily. [my schedule went wonky and i stopped dropping in back before the end of GG and i haven't been back since so i don't know if it's continued now that it's splintered off.] i'd imagine we could/would have the same going, after a time.

Sad to see you go Frog, as you were also who introduced me to HT but i fully understand as I'm about to drop my Swamioms FC too.

I enjoyed a lot going up to Spanish III, a goal i never imagined i could ever reach, but now this is too boring. The financial model is broken, training players is useless as you get crap money from them, there is no way for a top team to pay top players salaries, etc, so at the end, where is the fun?
