If I bought a tax chicken, but it didn't send in my check, am I still responsible for unpaid taxes?

This was one of the questions on the Pennsylvania Bar Exam. I wrote as many Latin phrases as I could remember, and quickly moved on to the question about how to convince the hot blonde paralegal to sleep with me.

Ask her if she wants to see your legal briefs?

If Caveat Emptor was one of them, you might even get it right.

Oh, she knows them inside and out.

"Getting it right" is overrated. Its a test of minimum competency, with a passing score of 60%. 'Empty Cave' probably scored enough partial credit to get by...

Edit: Now I see what happens when the parody thread is higher up in the list than the actual thread. I didn't realize this was a parrot-y thread until just now, after scrolling to the bottom of my unread list and seeing the Tax/Quicken topic. Damn you, CR! ;)

Tax chicken???
For what it's worth, apparently the "fantastic" Commonwealth of Virginia (   ) isn't technologically advanced enough to do what the intelligent portion of the rest of the country does--process your TurboTax/TaxCut request to file your return and pay your taxes from your bank account. I discovered this "delightful" fact this past year when I filed my federal and state taxes through TurboTax. Lo and behold, within 3 days the federal $$ was taken from my account, and 3 weeks later, the state $$ still wasn't. I finally called them about it, because I didn't want to have to worry about paying late fees and stuff (I'd filed in early February), and apparently payment "must be done through their website," and none of the people you call to ask about it actually knows what form of payment can be used (I had three separate people tell me I couldn't debit it directly from my bank account--they were wrong) nor how to properly access the site.
I hate this place.

Well, then, at least I'm set for dinner two nights in a row.

I'm predicting that this will be the most underappreciated thread in fofc history.
