I couldn't find anything on this...

Who do you send? I mean do you send the 1st rnd pick thats 60/73? The mid rnd guy thats 20/50?

60/73 48/67 21/50 38/50 26/48 15/48 24/48 18/43 18/40 7/44

Those are my options..I don't know who to send

No real answer to this one, i tend to send someone that i know is going to get a fair share of playing time in the coming season.

I have stopped sending people. I tried the mid level players that had backup roles intheir future (with the hope of maybe one becoming a starter at some point) who I was hoping would improve but all that I have ever seen is a negative impact.

Eagle, I have a feeling what you are seeing is accelerated view of where the guy is going to end up, rather than a negative impact actually caused by summer league. As a result, the summer league is still benefiting you by showing you ahead of time that these guys are not going to get to their stated potential ratings. I find it hard to believe that the summer league has been set up to negatively affect ratings that otherwise would not happen (barring injury of course). Of course, this is just my personal opinion. As for the question that opened the thread, I always send the backup that will see some playing time. I figure that starters don't need the boost, and that the boost is wasted on guys that won't ever see the field.

That 25/55 guy was going to be 38/38 eventually anyway. Sending him to summer league just sped up his development, revealing his true nature more quickly. With you 100% there.

It has been tested and proven that summer league speeds up development, and every so often turns a dud into a stud.

I've had some 1(1), 1(3), or 1(10) picks go to the Summer League from the other teams. I always try to send a 3rd-7th rounder, but sometimes I'll cheat and send a 2nd rounder. :)

Usually I'll send a guy with very low red bars but a lot of potential. You can usually pick those guys up in the 3rd-7th rounds, so this falls in line with whom I send. For some reason, I also send a lot of my backup safeties and corners since they'll play in the nickel and dime packages. TEs for the double TE set are a good choice as well.

I agree with EF and SD all the way to who they send.
I almost exclusively send guys whom I think may start next season.
Hear me out on this. If a guy is going to start for my team for 5-7 years I want as many of those years as possible to be at as high a rate as possible. So if he has 70+ potential I want him there this year instead of next.

If he is going to be a backup, Im not as concerned with him taking longer to develop as he will impact a statistically smaller percentage of plays.

Not sure there is a definite right or wrong here, just my explanbation for what I do.

Bump. FYI, it has been noticed that the current rating improvement from Summer League can be seen right after FA2:5 (right before training camp).

I send a QB that I am developing.
