This would be as good as front office Tecmo Bowl, if we could call this once or twice a game.

The next time my team comes on defense, I call this play: Everybody jump offside and knock that little shit on his ass.

It wasn't the kids fault. I would send my biggest kid to "accidentally" take out the knees of the coach that called the play...

I think I'd advocate doing both.

It's going to be awesome the next time some little kid really does need a new ball, and get's decapitated by a linebacker.

Unbelievable that a coach would pull that shit at the youth level.

Can't say anything without context. That team could have been losing 35-0 at the time. In which case it's fine to get on the scoreboard.
Also, coming from Texas, I assure you trick plays are run as soon as the kids can execute. If that were here the coach of the team on defense would call his kids over and explain what happened and why it was legal. Actually, at a youth football game in Texas there would have been 30 parents/fans and 3 coaches yelling at the defense to tackle the kid as soon as he started walking with the ball.

My fav trick play (that was at one time legal in the NFL) was to have 10 men in the huddle, break and line up. Just before the snap your fastest receiver steps on to the field. TOUCHDOWN!

Sportsmanship... subverted!
Nothing wrong with that play. If the other opposing coach would have thought his kids to play until the whistle is blown then that kid wouldn't have scored.

at minute 3:36, Sam McGuffie did the greatest move i've ever seen in football. he hurdled over a defender and stepped off his back while the defender was still standing.
i mean, that's video game shit.

It is a coward's move.
Yeah, bullshit play. Funny, though, all the yokels cheering as he was running, signalling loudly their approval for this cheap-ass trick. Bet they wouldn't like it other-way-around...

When I was a kid I remember watching a lions game where Billy Sims was breaking into the open field with two defenders in front of him. Billy hurdled over one dude, planted a foot on that fellow's shoulder and then kicked the other guy straight in the face.
It pains me that I can never find any highlights of this....perhaps it only happened in my imagination.

It is a cheap play, but defensively you have to Coach your Kids to play if they don't hear a Whistle. If it happened to me I would be mad at myself, not the other Team. If that was a close game there is nothing wrong with it, as you have to give your Kids every advantage possible within the rules.
Now if that play was called and the Team that scored was already up by 28 points or they had the game won and it was late in the 4th quarter then it was classless.
More than likely this was early in the Game, either the opening kickoff or after the other team had first possesion and either scored or punted.

He announced for Michigan sunday. Cant wait to see him in the #2, kid is a crazy athlete. Here (http://recruiting.scout.com/2/658355.html) are pictures and video from scout of him doing a running flip over JB Shugarts, a 6'7 OT going to OSU.
One of his teams games will be on ESPN2 this fall, plus he is playing in the Army all star game.
edit- Oops on the video, I think you have to be a subscriber to see it. Not sure if its available anywhere else.
