Late yesterday, we were talking about the Jake Brown crash at the X-Games (Brown is the guy who took the 45 foot splat off the quarter pipe during the Big Air Competition).

This below, is pretty much verbatim the actual conversation.

CoWorker#1 (watching the impact over and over): Damn.. look at that guy's shoes fly off..

CoWorker 2: Heh. Watching it, it's like a road runner cartoon. Wile E Coyote on a skateboard chasing the road runner, flying over the gap, up the quarter pipe... reaches out for the Road-Runner....realizes he's flying away.. freezes for a second...

Co Worker 1: And then he starts falling.. one part at a time..

Co Worker 2: all it needs is the puff of smoke when he hit, the road runner going "meep meep" and then zipping away.

Co Worker 1: Next gag.. The Road Runner and Wile E Coyote, Moto X style.

I'm leaning towards scary.

I don't see anything wrong there. Not really funny, but not scary either.

Would it change your mind to know that they were constantly replaying the five seconds or so where he hits the quarter pipe going up.. till.. well.. he hits the Quarter Pipe going down while they're having this conversation?

Just watched that for the first time..

He does need to hold up a sign at his highest point that says "Oh no" like Wile E would...

It looked really painful and all that, but at least to me, it wasn't like that clip of Allen Ray (with his eye being poked out)... where you see something sick. It was a fall, and you know he got up and was able to walk off with help after.

I don't know if I would watch it over and over again, but I don't think it's scary that someone would.

Definitely funny.

Come on, if you are riding a skateboard 45 feet into the air, you deserve to have people laugh at the result.

People that do that shit for a living are nuts and have big, giant, huge balls.

That's insane.

I actually thought something along the Wile E. Coyote lines......When his board flies away and he's riding that invisible bicycle...

Personally, I think you should go up to your coworkers without saying anything else and say "I'm sorry about earlier" and then just walk away. It's for the best.

Wouldn't they just hang over each side?

Dude fell 4 stories, landed on his ass and lived. That's crazy.

The really crazy thing about it...he willing rode a skateboard that high in the first place.

BIG, GIANT, HUGE BALLS!
