Vent - Jerks I have to work with

So my dept and the accounting dept don't get along, never have. I only get along with one person in that dept and that's only because she and I have bonded over knitting projects. So I take an order today that goes on hold pending receipt of a wire transfer. Just as a heads up I send an email to the guy who does invoicing saying I put the order in and please don't release it until you hear from me. He sends back a snippy, attitude filled message, cc's his boss (the controller) and says "I know the procedure for wire transfers" and then pastes a page from the manual into the email. Now, is that REALLY necessary? Wouldn't just a simple "thanks" have been enough...or moreso, go by the "if you can't say something nice, keep your fat mouth shut" rule???? And this is coming from one of the people in that dept that say I'm hard to deal with. UGH!!!! It's taking all my strength not to go down there and kick someone's ass!!!!!

Today on my job, I was given the task to find out some potentially negative information and deliver my opinion. I did. Yea, it was negative. I said "You sure you want to hear it"

So I told them.
