well thankfully i was lucky. I hadn't mowed in awhile, and then all of a sudden I felt a sharp pain, and then more. I ended up ripping off my shirt and ran inside. They must have been swarming badly cause I ended up killing about 4-5 bees inside the house. Total sting count was more like 7 or 8, but for the thread title I was going for fiddy reference. The odd thing was that my 3 year old had been singing the `Buzz buzz` Larie bertner song right before i went outside.

The weakest PA Heist I ever heard of involved bees and cutting the grass ;) Anyways...
Seriously, my grandfather refused to let anyone cut his grass that didn't have long sleeves and long pants on. He one time hit a bush that had a wasp nest in it. Cut to old man running, swarm of wasps chasing and you get the idea.

I go outside today through the side door to turn on the sprinkler when I feel pain in my upper back - I turn around and there is a wasp nest right above the door with about 8 wasps hanging from it. I run into the garage and run my back along my truck that is parked inside because it felt like they were still stinging me.
That was some of the most intense pain I've felt in quite some time...
I get the can of wasp killer and exterminate all but two who managed to get away.
My back is still hurting.. wow...

Is it wrong that I now have an image of your three-year-old running around the backyard frantically shouting "buzz buzz bees!" with a cloud of yellow jackets trailing behind him while you sit in the kitchen reading the newspaper and muttering about how sick you are of this song?

Well as soon as she swung she dropped the folder and ran inside the house. Since I didn't see the folder when I finally ventured outside I can only assume the creature ate it.

Alright, here's some shit.
I mess around with the riding mower all morning, the tire keeps going flat, I eventually say fuck it and go buy a whole new wheel setup. Anyways, I'm mowing the back yard, and I get too close to a stump and fuck up my blades. So I stop the mower, and get out to inspect.
Anyways, apparently I sit down right on a fucking ants nest. I feel something, I have a swarm on my right elbow, and another pack on my knee. And these fuckers bite too. It wasn't sharp pain or anything, but my right tricep is pretty sore right now.

I've been bit to hell by just regular old ants. Was sitting on the concrete path connecting the porch to the driveway doing something with my daughter who was 3ish at the time, feel a stinging and didn't think much of it, then more and more.. Daughter looks at me and said something about bugs on me, I jump up take off my shirt and pants cause they're all over me and hit the shower. The whole time in the shower ants were falling off me down the drain.
After my shower I poured a little gas on there and had an ant bbq.

It had literally been years since I'd been stung. But bees were bad in England this summer it seems.
the worst was hanging out in the garden of the pub with some friends one night. Got stung in the neck. Sucked, but at least there was beer to drink off the pain.

I now kill wasps, yellow jackets and hornets for a living. I probably did over 200 nests this summer. Never stung once. Never wore a bee suit, nor even long sleeves. You just got to know how to kill the suckers.

A couple of weeks ago, I took 6 or 7 yellow jacket stings while mowing. They didn't really puff up too bad, but I cut myself on the back of the neck trying to get them off me, and that cut swelled up pretty good.

For a yellow jacket's nest or a hornet's nest, yeah. I kill several waps nest a day just in standard pest control.

The bubble bee, wasps, yellow jacket, lion hybrid are called Secada Killers. They look like Huey's swooping down on you. They are very non-aggresive though (the males being the most territorial, but they don't even have stingers). They will make burroughs in the ground that will do a good bit of lawn damage. The best way of killing them is a tennis racket and pretending to be John McEnroe.
