I'm sitting here watching Future Weapons on Discovery and they're featuring a new shoulder launched anti-armor infantry rocket called the Javelin. It apparently has some sort of tracking system that has "no known countermeasures". I was trying to figure out what this thing could be using and all I can think of is that it uses GPS. And I'm thinking about how many of the systems in our military now rely on GPS. Didn't the Chinese recently test a new missle that took out a satellite? I am getting scared.

Ok, they just profiled the Joint Strike Fighter and I feel much better now. :)

I bought a house on a street that is 3 years old and no one delivering anything can find it on their GPS. Does that mean I'm safe? :)

Check out the dangers of WeFi, which is yet another example of something that is technically cool but not many could care/know where it would lead to.

No need to convince me, hell, I think we are to dependent on oil and explosives. One day we will need that mounted cavalry again, and when that time comes Canada will destroy us, with some allies from 3rd world countries who kick ass with poison dipped blow darts.
