We just finished watching the entire series courtesy of netflix and I must say it was the most enjoyable series I have watched.

Most enjoyable? Really? I mean it started off unbelievably but lost its focus a few times. I will give you that the first couple of season were unbelievable and I loved how they resolved the overarching conflict of the series in the middle of a season but by the end it felt like every story line had been done a couple of times.

The 2nd season of Alias is one of the most entertaining individual seasons of TV ever created. The big fight in the finale is one of the best TV fights ever. After that, it went downhill in a big way, partly not JJ Abrams fault because Lena Olin abruptly left after season 2 and that really caused them problems. There were sporadoc moments of fun, but it never recaptured the great stuff of season 2.

i was a fan of the show

but when the one season ended with sydney waking up and realizing she'd lost 2 years of her life, i walked away forever. never watched another frame. i DESPISED how that was handled (especially after the network ordered the show dumbed down halfway through the season, and the whole rimbaldi or whatever it was plot was basically dropped).

Yeah, I was hooked on the 1st and 2nd seasons, but after the way Season 2 ended (and season 3 started), I lost interest rapidly. I think it didn't help that I found the main character increasingly annoying as the series went on.

I actually liked the cliffhanger at the end of season 2. I thought it could have been very interesting if handled correctly, but they botched it.

agree with most of the comments here. i was a huge fan of seasons 1 and 2, 3-5 fell off a bit, but still decent TV. the sydney/jack relationship is one of my favorites.

That's because Victor Garber kicked so much ass. Even in the weaker seasons, he made the show watchable. He had a face that could portray so many things at once. You could never get a clear read on him, which made him perfect for the show.

I miss his character so much. It was the highlight of the show. still consider the series as a whole one of my favorites of all time. Been thinking about starting to rewatch it on DVD. I don't have the final season on DVD but I've watched them all. I didn't start watching the show until the second season.

this is it for me. garner is ok as an actress, and she pulled off some good stuff in the show, but garber was the key to the whole thing. i even liked the lawyer show he had on Fox last year (forget the name). i'm halfway through season 3 re-watching on DVD and it's still just as good.
