As ugly as it is, the stuff does taste good. My ex-GF's family used it in a lot of different dishes. The best way I can describe the flavor is hominy, with a hint of black truffle.

my stomach hurts, but it's more from laughing than from revulsion.

I'd never EAT the stuff...but looking at it didn't hurt me any.

I'd eat it. I love mushrooms and that's basically what it is, so......meh. Not gross.
