What the hell? I installed the fucking demo for Bioshock (from FilePlanet) , and it asked me to install the newest Nvidia driver, and now my fucking computer says that my copy of Vista (fucking shit) isn't "genuine", and no matter what I've tried in the last 1 and a half of trying will work.

Any suggestions? Should just reinstall Vista? I don't want to lose anything on my harddrive though.

Everytime I try to play a game, I get this popup that says "Windows Aero is not working", and it ejects me from the game .

I am so fucking pissed.

Are the rest of your apps and games messed up as well, or just the demo?

Are the rest of your apps and games messed up as well, or just the demo?

All of my 3d apps (games). Whenever I start one, this popup appears saying that it's not genuine, and kicks me out of the game. All other apps like IE, Adaware, and spybot work ok. I'm really frustrated.

It is. I bought it from the store 5 months ago, and still have the box and all that.

Anybody? I'm looking and can't find any answers to this online. I've seen stuff about XP but not Vista. Can anyone at least point me to a website that might help, because this really sucks.

Actually I was just reading through my newsfeeds and one of them said that Microsoft's Genuine Advantage server was down, i.e. the server that authenticates the installs isn't going to:

Of course, it could also be the root kit Sony put in there...not sure if it's on the demo, though...

Yeah, I'm over on the Microsoft help forums and this problem is rampant. People are PISSED, including me.

I hate Vista so much.

Microsoft finally fixed the problem. Just had to re-validate, and I'm good to go now.
