ECW News

- Paul Heyman has announced the beginning of a Weekly Sunday house show entitled "Extreme OD" and he promises quite a surprise for the debut show, and it will involve all of the ECW Titles being on the line.

- ECW has parted ways with a slew of talent, headlined by John Kronus. To offset the losses ECW has signed two highly touted kids out of the ECW's own House of Hardcore, Dayne Ho and Damien Omega. Both kids are dynamic wrestlers and will have the potential to steal the show nightly.

- Heyman has also decided to change the way ECW works. He is emphasizing speed and agility as well as technichal prowess which is why many of the roster cuts were made. Expect more lucha libre and puro stars to join the ranks of ECW in the near future.

- ECW TV this Friday on MSG will be headlined by Taz vs Shane Douglas. This is not an ECW World or TV Title match but Heyman said their will be serious implications from this match leading to Extreme OD.

Tommy Dreamer comes to the ring discussing how ECW is turner a corner and how no longer does ECW Innovate the Extreme, but also the good fucking wrestling that the WWF and WCW fear. Tommy tells the fans not to worry though because he won't let the extreme die! That brings out Sabu w/ Bill Alfonso. Sabu stares at Dreamer as Alfonso tells Tommy he doesn't know what extreme is. The two men get nose to nose before refs hit the ring to break it up (C+)

Justin Credible defeated Jerry Lynn in 8:35 by pinfall with a Superkick (D+) [I]Justin Credible and Jerry Lynn don't seem to click, and it made for an awkward bout. The colour commentary gave the match a boost. Justin Credible is improving in Performance skills[/I

Backstage Lance Storm hypes the fact that ECW has never seen an athlete quite like him, and because of that, he won't just make his mark on ECW, he'll make his mark on everyone in wrestling (D-)

ECW News

- Extreme TV drew a .10 rating which is good considering it's on so late on Friday nights and only available in the Tri-City region.

- We've reached agreement on a deal with 19 year old star Mr. Aguilia. Currently working in the WWF on a PPA deal, Aguilia is an exciting wrestler who can do it all inside the ring.

- We also sign Juventud Guerrera, a WCW worker who, when he is on, is one of the best in the buisness. Hopefully he can bring his A game to ECW because we offered him a good deal of money to get him in here.

- We resign Bam Bam Bigelow and Taz to deals. Taz to a bargain 750 per show, while Bam Bam cost us $1500 a show with a $1000 downside.

- We sign another luchador in WCW wrestler Super Calo. Again, we pay a hefty price but I am hoping to produce good matches off performance alone to help build us up to Cult level.

- ECW has also signed another House of Hardcore graduate in The Gladiator. A big, rough, ready to fight kid, he has a solid overness in New England where he's worked for some of the indy promotions out there and figures to be a big part of our shows there.

- We also resign Bubba Ray Dudley at only $540 a show, another steal.

Jeff "Hot" Nights - Nights has made an impact in Puerto Ricos WWC where is already working the Upper Midcard as one of their top heels. While Nights has yet to debut in the ring, the youngster is making a dent on the stick before his debut. Only on a PPA deal, expect Nights to pop up in other promotions around the world.

Mike Ritschel - Ritschel, one of the stars of the inital House of Hardcore class, is on his own written deal in NJPW working as an Opener. Rithscel had an awesome debut even in defeat vs Riki Choysu (C).

The Hunter - The Hunter has just signed with NJPW, also on a written deal, though his role is TBD. Expect him to get over quickly though with his Stu Hart Dungeon backround.

Viktor Tadlock - Tadlock has joined Jeff Nights in WWC where Tadlock is working the midcard. Like Nights he is waiting to debut but when he does expect great things.

Storyline Update

Dreamer vs Sabu: This is at a B - so far and isn't quite over. The Cage Match won't end it either. The third match will be the Big Blowoff and I already know what kind of match it'll be. I'll let people speculate but it'll be closed lipped for a while.

Taz vs Bigelow: These two will soon evolve into a feud with two other men with a huge blowoff. If everything goes accordingly it'll set me up with matches for months to come.

Lance Storm vs Sandman: A cocky youngster angle, I wanna' do it to get Storm over more. He and Sandman work decent enough together and while he won't take the belt off Sandman any time soon, he'll be good in the ME picture for a while.

Title Picture

ECW World Title: The Sandman is champion and right now not in the spotlight with the two feuds but he will be soon as I want him to deal with Lance Storm until Dreamer vs Sabu is done, so the World Title is defended with solid matches but doesn't overshadow this feud.

ECW TV Title: Rob Van Dam won and for good reason; he'll be using this to put on awesome matches with our young guys and our lucha guys. A face turn is inevitable but not anytime soon. Let the crowd get pumped for him but he'll still be an ass.

ECW Tag Team Titles: The Impact Playerz and Dudleys will battle it out until I solidify my tag ranks a little more. A new high priced talent will debut soon and that'll help the tag divison out mightily and Little Guido will be getting a new partner soon but I'd like another team or do. I have some dead weight to still cut I don't use, then I plan on bringing in someone for Axl Rotten to team with on occasion too.

Can workers get diseases in-game in TEW?

I don't have the game, so I don't know.

It's technically just an "injury" in the game file. TEW has a great in-game editor so the different mods can put whatever they want in there - you just need name of the injury/disease, how long they'll be out, and whether or not they can work through it on a limited basis

That's quite a blow losing RVD, maybe it'll give someone else an opportunity to carry the ball and surprise you.

- Better Than Ever has a .16 buy which is the worst of any PPV but we only have TV in one market going into the show so I didn't expect much.

- The show itself was well beyond my expectations. Match wise it was solid, headlined but an awesome Barbed Wire match which normally would've ended this feud but there is more to this thanks to Taz turning on Sandman and aligning himself with Bigelow and Storm. Taz needed to have his character freshened up and a heel turn seemed the most likely switch at this juncture.

- As it goes right now Sabu is #1 contender but Sandman wants Taz. The entire situtation will begin to be clarified at the TV taping but expect some fireworks.

- Mike Quackenbush signed with us as his debut obviously indicated, and Doug Williams signed right after the show. These are two young guys I wanna get over but while they work to become viable stars they have the ability to put on good matches in the mean time.

FOFC Wrestler Report

"Hotrod" Wallace Bass - Wallace Bass has moved up the ranks with Japan's AJPW now working as a midcarder where he has a record of 4-11-0. Bass is currently part of a team called Hands of Death with AJPW mainstay Ricky Fuji. Bass best match so far was vs Danny Spiver on AJPW weekly TV in a match that garnered a C Rating. The exposure has risen his popularity across Japan to a D+ in every region.

"Wildside" Will Bradley - Bradley has been wrestling almost weekly finally with NJPW averaging C+ matches, mostly with Koji Kanemoto of whom he has worked the circuit with rather repeatedly. Bradley is 18-39-3, with his best matches acquiring B - ratings vs Kanemoto. Bradley has made fame by winning the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title from Shinjiro Otani in June, though he has yet to defend the title. Bradley has reached C popularity in every region of Japan.

Jeff "Hot" Nights - Nights is working now as a face midcarder in the WWC where he has been getting routine bookings. The WWC is working sometimes three times a week so Nights has been flourishing with the extra work and has gained D+ popularity in Puerto Rico. Nights has an 18-10 record and has had several C rated matches with his former tag team partner Steve Corino. Nights however was turned on by Corino and has since joined forces with Bubba Ray Dudley, whom he co-holds the WWC Tag Team Titles with.

The Hunter -The Hunter had trouble initially finding work but has since signed with BCW, FMW and IWR. He is 3-6-0 with his best match coming in his brief NJPW stint vs Scott Norton.

Viktor Tadlock - Tadlock has remained loyal to WWC where he is a heel midcarder right now. Tadlock's run their has earned him C+ popularity in Puerto Rico. Tadlock has been a workhouse with an impressive 20-28-1 record. His best match earning a B - rating in a loss to Chavo Guerrero Jr. Tadlock currently teams with Johnny Gunn in the Legion of Death.

Damien Omega- Damien Omega was possibly the MVP of ECW in 1998 having an impressive list of wins over the likes of Taz and Sabu, and one of the longest ECW TV Title reigns ever. Omega is an absurd 42-9-5 with his best matching being the B + Extreme War Games Match at November to Remember. Omega is the current ECW TV Champ, entering his 12 month with the title, racking up an impressive 19 defenses. Omega has seen his popularity in the Tri City raise to a B - and he continues to move up the pecking order of ECW.

Dayne Ho is a midcarder presently in ECW where he is waiting for his chance. He has been used constantly because of his ability to put on awesome matches and that he has, going 34-28-1 with his best matches earning B - vs Kid Kash. Ho has seen his popularity in the Tri State raise to a C -.

Mike Ritschel - Ritschel is currently in ECW as a midcard heel where he has put on quite a few good matches. He is currently 12-26-0 with his best match being a 6 man Scramble at ECW Guilty as Charged. Ritschel in his short time in ECW has had his tri city popularity rise to a D+.

The Gladiator - The Gladiator is a midcard heel in ECW where he has went 20-21-0. Currently a co-holder of the devalued ECW Tag Team Titles with Little Guido, The Gladiator has shown he can work but like Ho needs a shot. His best match was a B - affair with Tommy Dreamer.

ECW 1999 Plans

- Our first order of business is cancelling Hardcore TV. We need two hours so we can hire more workers and use them accordingly. With the lack of TV we will be running two shows a week, on Tuesday and Saturday. Every Tuesday show will be held in the Great Lakes to increase our popularity there while Tuesday will rotate between Tri City and New England.

- We are running too many PPV's therefore we'll go back to only having Six PPV's so our feuds can run their course.

- Our worker fees are not too bad. We pay a lot to our WCW guys like Raven, Waltman, Malenko and Mysterio but it is paying dividence. We have future stars like Low Ki, Dayne Ho and The Gladiator I want to get over so these two shows a week will definetly help.

- With our show off the air for now I'll cheat somewhat by tweaking our product so we feature more matches since it doesn't make sense to go angle heavy without a way to broadcast them.
