I just saw "That Ain't Right", Saget's new HBO standup routine.

Funniest. Shit. EVER!

That is all. Oh, and "my dog licked my balls".

Of the 30 or so people I've talked to or online reviews I've read, you're the first to use the word "dog" and not have it be in the context of "This standup was absolute dog shit."

Because they are all nuts... I laughed throughout the entire thing. It was hilarious!

Then again, it also was the crudest thing I've ever seen, so maybe that turns some people off.

I only caught 5-7 mins worth and didn't laugh once, and I love standups, but I'll give it another shot just for you.

You don't have to do anything for me... you may hate it and try to take it out on me then

Bob Saget mid 80s to early 90s was flat out awesome. Before my time but I loved to listen to the shit he'd talk about. That past Bob Saget special was one long joke that was just him trying to basically be the guy from Full House who was dirty then cleaned up and now is just dirty for the sake of being dirty.

It wasn't anything special at all.

Now if you want funny, I just saw Greg Giraldo a few weeks ago, and as usual he killed.

Doug Standhopes Showtime Special is 10x greater then Sagets HBO.

Saw that a few nights ago...really funny, and interesting at the same time.

I was hoping for better. There were a couple incredibly funny lines here and there, and I don't care at all about the level of vulgarity, but most of it was little more than a guy standing on stage saying fuck over and over.

One more note ..

Basically Saget was playing his character from Entourage. Yes, that character is himself, but amped up to the 100th degree, and trying to carry it over to a one hour special didn't work at all imo.

If Bob Saget hadn't been on two highly successful, family-oriented programs during the youth of today's key demographic, would anyone find his standup the slightest bit interesting?

I liked it. Maybe that has to do with the fact that I loved his Aristocrates bit, and that I "get" him.

Once I learned Bob Saget was a dirty comedian about 5-6 years ago that was a great thing. Now that I actually watched that standup, it just means it's a poor excuse for comedy. :(

He seems like a cool guy, but I thought his show was borderline crap.

You sound like you're from Washington. That automatically makes your opinion worth poop. Plus, you're just pissed that your dog licked my balls instead of yours.

I will say that the latter part of the show where he told more conventional jokes was much better than the first part. The songs were by far the best part of the whole show. I'm glad I watched the whole show because I know there were a ton of people that were so turned off by the first part of the show that they didn't see the better parts in the second half.

I kind of liked the randomness of the first half though. Then again, I'm a postmodern sort of guy, so... ;).

I only watched about the first 15 minutes. That was all I could take. That shit was awful. Not funny at all.

I love the fact that Bob expanded my vocabulary. I use "taint" as much as I can.
