The NFL will unveil a new logo next April for the draft.

Highlights include a new font, eight stars for the eight divisions, and the football resembles the top of the Vince Lombardi trophy.

Personally, I dig it...

Hmm, strangely when I saw a larger side by side picture of this yesterday I really disliked the new logo. Looking at that smaller comparison in your post though I actually don't mind the new one so much.

Looks good. A little more streamlined, if that's the right word.

Exactly. They could have changed it and I probably would have gone half a season of football before I started even thinking the logo looked a little different. But, it looks better side by side, so better it is. ;)

Good Lord, only if they had made that pink could it have been worse.

Meh. Nothing dramatic or radical. Kinda like their league. It works.

Keep the old font and it would be pretty good, otherwise just keep the one we have now.

IDK, the fewer numbeer of stars really throw me off.
And I will miss the "L" 's squirrely tail but I may be able to force my self to watch a few games, at least until halftime. After that the logo will run me away to ummm.. uhh.... what else is there again?
College Football replays from Saturday, yeah thats it.

Other sports are just funny dressed jesters with bells on their hats
fetching football's slippers and hashish pipe.

I actually like the logo more after I click on the article - it's a little crisper than the compressed image Jeeb posted

I like the NFL logo that beats at the end of the commercials. Why can't they just animate the gif and do that?

It's definitely better. More 3 dimensional look with the football, less cluttered by the stars. It has more pop.

Looking at the old one, it does seem kind of dated, but oddly at the same time, quite nostalgic. You look at it and you can practically hear the NFL Films music and John Facenda in the background. There's a lot of tradition behind that logo.
I'm still not sure about the lettering font, but in general, it does seem to be a good update.

I like the new football and the darker blue. Makes it look less faded.
But I don't like the four stars... seems like a lesser logo because of it. But I don't know what the original stars represented anyway. I also think the new "L" looks naked now.

I like it. The new font seems...stronger to me. Almost more old school (50's as opposed to 60's).
