That's tough. I went with the 360, but the tough part is the "for the entire generation". I'm sure there are going to be exclusive games for the PS3 that I will want later down the road but I'm guessing the same would be true if I went the other way and picked the PS3. Based on what's out there right now it's hard to go against the 360 IMO. As far as the Wii goes, I've tried it and it is a lot of fun in a group setting, but I just can't see myself playing it alone much at all. It's like the Wii is almost an entirely different type of system and it's hard to compare it to the other two.

I went 360, simply because I already have it.

I thought about the PS3, just because it seems those games are always in to rent at the video stores down here (because no one has PS3's I guess).

Wii. Nintendo makes the type of games I want to play. The others don't. Plus the potential for new and revolutionary things with the controller. I am not impressed with high definition graphics in games or in TV. I, of course, prefer them, but it is not a selling point to me at all.
