As you'll see in the dynasty forums, I've submitted the first post of my RL job search dynasty. However, I have concerns, and that's what this post is all about.

1) First and foremost - if I don't name names (companies, bosses, etc.) and use tact, do I still run the risk of harming the process of finding a new job?

2) Is there any interest in reading such a dynasty?

What's the GOOD part about writing it?

Well, I'm sure there's a therapeutic effect involved. Of course, an unforseen and entirely implausible scenario would be a job offer coming from said dynasty :)

Also, others can perhaps share in my misery :)

What's the GOOD part about writing it?

Off the top of my head:

- Detailing efforts to make contacts/submit resumes. Others can then chime in with suggestions for expanding upon it/getting his name out there more.

- If he discusses interviews, and his responses to different types of questions, others can critique the answers to the point where he may become a better interviewee.

- If he's up for an interview with a biotech company, for example, and someone on here has experience in the industry, he/she could give Craig good background info on the types of experiences he should have, buzzwords, benefits/disadvantages to entering that field, etc.

Personally, I can give some good advice on how to answer certain interview questions, how to make aspects of your old job sound more interesting, etc (basically, simple interview stuff) so I'd be glad to read and help with that sort of thing.

I'd be curious but better CYA most of all. I think it'll make for a good learning experience. Tho, like all things job search related, I'm sure I'll work in lots of bitter jabs at HR. Or, better yet, keep my mouth shut and wish you luck :)
