Lately I've been thinking a lot about life. It seems that people are either mostly happy or mostly unhappy with their lives. Take a moment and think about your own life. For the purposes of the question, if you answer "yes" then you consider yourself to be happy with life; if you answer "no" then you consider yourself to be unhappy with your life.

I'm kind of in the middle. I'm very happy in some aspects, but disappointed in others.

I am very happy now that I have finished moving. So happy, in fact, that I find my life complete at this point.

Overall, happy. There are a bunch of things that I would like to change, but in the grand scheme of things, I like my life far better than most people.

I think it's pretty straight forward. And of course it's subjective, it's about you when you're answering it, about me when I'm answering.

Well for most people, there are aspects of their life that they are happy about and aspects they aren't. I guess it is a matter of deciding if the good outweighs the bad or not. For me, I'm very happy with my life, although there are a few aspects I'd like to see change and am working on doing so.

So, it's a question of the moment, not a judgement of the big picture? I'd still say it's complicated. There're certain things I'm happy with, and certain things I'm not. It's hard to label the overall sum of the parts.

I only included two options because I'd like to know whether people consider themselves to be happy or unhappy. In the big picture, you're either one or the other to some degree. If you have to choose, which do you choose?

A solid no from me, but I hope to never be in the "absolute yes" category. What I mean is I hope I never get to the point where there isn't anything in my life that could really use some improvement. I think it would get kinda boring if that were the case.

well I LOVE my life, but I am never satisfieed.
So does satisfied = happy?
Not sure.

All in all I have bautiful healthy kids, a great wife and a nice career. What more could I want?

Oh yeah the mental ability to relax and enjoy it before I drive myself into the dirt, but alas I am not wired that way.

So not really happy, never will be, but realize I have it well
.

Agreed in that you can never be perfectly happy. But I'm definitely happy with my life right now. All the shit I can complain about and say "wow, that sucks" means absolutely nothing compared to all the great stuff I have going on.

I said "No" because frankly, I am not happy with where I am at in my journey.

I do remember the last time I was truly happy though... I was in the arms of the most beautiful woman I ever have seen in my life. She undid her bra and just as began to slide off the alarm rang.

I voted yes. There are things that stress me out, job security, debt, weight things like that, but given the big picture, I'm in the best spot I've been in this decade I believe.

Well, you'll noticed we moved on to talking about a funeral shortly after that. :)

Eh, a bunch of things are all at one crazy crossroads (maybe more of a circle) for me right now. I think things will be significantly better (or worse) within the next 3 months.

I said yes. On the common fronts such as wife/marriage, children, career, etc I could literally not be happier.

I'm fortunate that after 10 years of marriage and 12 years of being together, I love my wife and GET ALONG WITH HER better now than we ever have. We have three great kids who are healthy, smart, and are just terrific people. I have a career that is exciting and supports my family very comfortably.

Currently, the only debt we have is a mortgage and one car payment. All credit cards are paid up. We learned early in our marriage that lots 'o debt = bad.

Are there areas where I could be happier? Sure. But in 32 years, I've finally reached a point where I'm comfortable being me and doing the things I want to do.

I know saying that I'm really happy with my life may not be the popular thing to say, but it's the truth. I have no regrets.

well, I got a new job today. so it goes from 100% suck to 85%-90% suck.
