It came up in conversation because she asked if I went to Madison's Geek Con. Which she assumed because of the several Star Wars items at my desk. Not a bad assumption mind you but, might as well just change my nameplate at work to 'Official Geek' but, anyways....

http://www.artistsuk.co.uk/acatalog/mini-ButterflyGirl_Fred_Fields.JPG

Plus she had several book covers and one of the 'Women of Fantasy' TSR Calendars.

MegaNerd would be wondering whether we could decipher what his co-worker's CHA stat would be from that picture.

GigaNerd would be to ask if that's a Larry Elmore picture.

To compare and contrast, naming 10 Forgotten Realms Gods/Goddesses without referring to a book/webpage is 450 MegaNerds.

(Azuth, Bane, Cyric, Lathander, Mystara (later Midnight), Torm, Tempus, Sune, Selune, Gond, btw)

Woah.

That's impressive stuff.

I never did get into the Forgotten Realms stuff (outside of some of those old gold box D&D computer games). We sort of pulled out of our AD&D phase around then and by the time we circled back we were running our own campaign worlds.

I played the revised edition (it came out in the early-to-mid 90's, maybe late 80's) quite a bit. I ran a campaign for a while with some from friends.

But, depending on timeline, Bane is dead. Might as well throw in Myrkul and Bhaal and make it an even dozen if we're going to include the dead ones (or Waukeen...yee-haw!). Tymora? Helm? Ao (does he count)? Kelemvor?

here's an example.. the rarely used "Taking a dump" stance for firing arrows..

The best Goddess ever in the Forgotten Realms series is the one in the Moonshae trilogy. The Leviathan owned your ass.

Which for some weird reason reminds me of White Plume Mountain, where we played a bunch of drow who were Good aligned (I know, weird in and of itself), until I got the bright idea to jump in a pit of spikes.

This led to the bad guy considering us such idiots that he thought we might be useful, so he hired us and gave us weapons of GREAT POWER!

...But my weapon rejected me. :(

Then, because I was playing a drow priestess true to form, the drow warrior in the party got pissed at me and killed me with the Black Razor.

End Adventure.
