Who is Ryan S?

Ryan S is a silent technical warrior who is the backbone of this message board. He is the man behind the curtains making sure are the gears are working. He is the master engineer who provides the weapons for the Dark Council.

And after all these years, we still know nothing about him. All I know is that he is still in his 20s and resides in Scotland. At least that is what his profile says. Unless it is some kind of front for his top secret identity. :D

Regardless, Ryan S is the unsung hero that is much appreciated by the people who come here on a frequent basis. So let's give him our thanks and begin our round of questioning.

exactly, which is why i think the praise may not be warranted, i think he's no longer a part of FOFC and SkyDog simply just uses him as a resource when something gets messed up. being a mod here is a thankless job more trouble than its worth, and that's for people who are active every day. i can't see someone being a mod and being the one to call when the site needs fixing for a community he doesn't participate in. i think SkyDog, out of kindness and gratitude for stuff maybe Ryan has done in the past overplays his importance. i think SkyDog is the type who'd try to fix something himself before going to others.

am i saying we are overrating his contribution to FOFC? if pressed for an answer i would say "yes".

sjshaw (though his was only a temporary ban) I also remember arguing against a Hell Atlantic ban last year. Most of the lifetime bans we have handed out have been well deserved.
