Brings us closer and closer to a major sports company using names, etcetera in their console games, without having to pay with is.. I honestly think the next OOTP game should just bite the bullet and put in MLB rosters (with fake team names of course) from the get-go.

Wow, big ruling there. Having stats and player names available to all sports games would deal a big blow to the exclusives contracts. That should be music to most gamers' ears.

Yup. If names and stats are NOT copyrightable, then the MLB/NFL/NBA/NHL are going to lose some auxillary income.. and the text sim market will get a boost.
