I feel deep pity for those of you who don't watch 24 because you can't get into it now (being halfway through the "day") or who think TV can't be done well.
Tonight's episode was powerful. Very moving stuff.

Wait, now I'm confused. :p

Good episode.
The dialogue between Jack and Kim is reminiscent (sp?) of the movie Armageddon, didn't you think?

Yeah, it was, now that you say it. In an otherwise cliched movie, I thought that emotional scene in Armageddon was nicely done, too.
Actually sabotai, it's called 24 because it lasts '24' hours. :)
Tonight's episode is 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. It started with 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. if I recall correctly. So that means we still have 10 more episodes, only slightly more than halfway through the season. They will probably be running a new episode each Tuesday through May sweeps (or darn close to it).
Crap, you have my pity. The second comment was aimed at the people who believe nothing good is on TV anymore (I generally agree actually, but I still give new shows a chance before I shoot 'em down).

Chief,
I'm confused because of your use of a double negative. I think I know what you meant. ;)

dola.
If I heard right, the next new episode will begin in 3 weeks? Or is it "for the next 3 weeks, a new episode each?"

Heh, I didn't even notice I did that. Heh...thanks for pointing that out, Crap. I'm going to edit it.
ABC, I actually didn't catch when the new episode will be. I figured it would be next week. If they do take three weeks off, I am pretty sure it will be on after that all the way through May sweeps then without a break after that.

Ahhh...ok. Last season they started at midnight. (Midnight - 1 am was the first episode last year).

Yeah, understandable error. I remember being surprised at the starting time of this year's first episode, but then I thought, "Well, why not?" :)

episodes 17-18 are running this week in France

no 24 in malaysia :(
I'm going to have to agree with Chief Rum 24 is the 'best' T.V. I've ever seen. I haven't miss a show since the season started and even got some of my family watching the show. Hell my girl don't wanna freaky with me while we watching, so I know the show is that good. I going to buy it on DVD when ever it comes out....

I can't stand that we have to wait 3 weeks for the next new episode. Great show, nothin' better right now. Very emotional tonight, were's that hankie?

Three weeks to wait, and I know it's because of that hell-spawned American Idol. I would rather have my eyes clawed out by rabid Sachmo's than watch that turd of a show.

We won't get it until later here in Turkey. But that's okay, I waited until the 1st season DVD came out and got that and I suspect I'll do the same with the 2nd season.
You gotta pay to play sometimes. :)

I watched last year, started this year and then missed a few episodes. Could anyone provide a brief synopsis of what's going on this year?

This is how I got out of it this season. These starts and stops that FOX is doing with this show is constantly taking me out of the show...

I think it'd be funny to have 8 episodes in a row where he does nothing but sleep. And maybe he gets up to urinate once. The cliffhanger could be: will he wash his hands afterward?!?

Don't forget the 5 minutes at 11:32 for sex and the 15 minutes at 7:53 when he has a bowl of Cheerios...let's make this ultra realistic...

I watched last year, started this year and then decided the show was a lost cause, and stopped.
I still feel like I get all I need to by seeing a commercial once a week or so, that shows an exciting moment or two from what's been going on. Fine by me.
