I usually go to Home Depot anyways, but Lowes can screw off from now on when it comes to me shopping there. It's not much, but it's the only protest I can do and not get in trouble for right now. I had a strong urge to break stuff in front of the store earlier.
I get a load from their dist. center in north Texas to Aransas Pass down here by Corpus Christi. It was ready last night and due to deliver Sunday evening. But we just drop and leave our trailers at Lowes, so technically I can do it anytime they are open before then. This is my load home, when I am done I just deadhead to the house a couple hours away.
I go to pick up the load last night to get started, but there is a problem. The Lowes people are the idiots of the trailer loading world, and when I saw the weight on the bills being 42,000 I got a little worried. I hook to the trailer and scale it out, and of course it is over-weight in the rear. It was 22:00 at night, so I had to leave the trailer and come back this morning hoping it would be reworked. I had to wait until 11:00 this morning before it was done. Got the trailer and left. A few delays on the way of course, and a stop for fuel. Got down here at 21:45 and they won't take the fucking load. It is too much trouble for them to send someone around back or even open the receiving door so the seal can be broken. And then of course they would have to wait for me to drop and hook the trailers. They were leaving in 15 minutes to go home and that would just take too much time. (It would have taken me 15 minutes at most) The manager then tells me it's no big deal, they can do it in the morning and I was probably just going to park it for the night anyways. Told him no, I was going home actually. All he said was "Oh, well they can get you first thing in the morning."
I had to bite my tongue, literally. I wanted to slap his fat bloated face and knock shit over as I walked out. I am glad they got to get home on time though so they could see their families. I am glad (after two weeks on the road) to give up the next 14 hours or so, so they wouldn't be 5-10 minutes late getting home. Asshole.
