Reducing the time for first round picks from 15 min to 10 min and for second round picks from 10 min to 7 min. Also pushing back the start time by 3 hours.

I like this. I don't think that it will hurt teams trying to make trades, and it will let me watch the first round without having to wait so long.

This might actually get me to watch the draft.

I always watch the draft, but the last one was just brutal with every single team taking nearly all 15 minutes. At least in the past, most teams took less than 10 minutes to make their picks in the first round.

They should just give each team 30 minutes total, for the entire draft, and let the teams decide how they want to spend their time. Lots of potential for brinksmanship as teams try to waste each other's time in order to force potential mistakes in later rounds... out of shape team executives sprinting to the podium... that's some good TV.

I say just give them VPI's draft app.

The change overall is definitely nice, although I don't like moving round 3 to day 2.

Can Mel Kiper deal with less face time?

Can Mel Kiper deal with less face time?

wouldn't that be hair time?

I always watch the first day of the draft. Moving Round 3 to day two makes me more likely to watch day two.

Moving the time from Noon to 3pm is definitely a plus as well. I had to race home from a nephews confirmation(11am) this year and still missed the top two picks.

there's something about it being at noon that makes it awesome

does everything have to be geared towards tv all the time. geesh.

Actually, the best part will be much less time looking in on the green room, being cajoled into feeling sorry for some guy who's going to make only 30 million instead of 60 million.

Awesome. Post of the week, at least.
