I bought FM 2008 at a store here in Granada, boxed copy, etc... I figured no problem since FM is usually poly-lingual.

Inserted CD, installation languages were Spanish and English, okay no problem, selected English.

I fire up the game and I have exactly -1- language option... Spanish.

Obviously I can't return the game because I've opened the box and installed the game.

Is there any way possible to set the game so that it's English? I tried in Preferences, but it insisted on only Spanish, despite ironically defaulting to $USD for currency.

What languages do you have in C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Worldwide Soccer Manager 2008\data\languages?

I uploaded US English here if you don't have english in that directory: http://www.jaylark.org/english%20(us).zip

Hopefully that works!

Thanks, that did it!!! :)

Not to sound like a greedy git or anything, but is it possible that you could upload the UK English as well?

And yes, Espanol was the only language in the directory.

This is the case (with language limitations) for certain sku's to prevent grey importing.

'Grey Importing' is where a particular market has a very low price for some reason (normally due to local cost of living) and retailers from a more expensive country purchase the item in for a fraction of the price and sell it for a large profit.

Frequently the manuals, disks etc. from grey imports are much worse quality and this can lead to complaints which is one of the reasons (outside of pure capitalism) for it being dissuaded.

PS> Izulde you had/have PM.
