I think that the girl in the commercial would have looked a lot better if she hadn't taken it.

I don't believe in any of this crap.

You want to lose weight, eat better and excersise.

Is excersise the new piloteez?

dola- I don't mean to sound harsh, but there is no "quick fix" to getting in shape.

It is a long process that takes time and dedication. You can't house McDonalds everyday while sitting on your ass playing text sims then take a magic pill to melt of the weight.

None of those type of products are good for you. They increase your metabolism to a point that it shouldn't be at. Really bad for your heart. Also, you'll gain back the weight the moment you go off it. Eating healthy and exercise is the only way to go. It may be the tougher way, but the pills like Hydroxycut can cause real health problems down the road, if not sooner.

The only OTC products that I ever had any luck with were the ones that had ephedra. But since the ban and then reversal of the ban, it has been hard to find.

No points for you for using the "what better" line. it was old last year.

That's OK, man. I'm the hottest FOFCer according to terpkristin, MattJones4Heisman, and saldana. I don't need points for the "what better" line.

I completely agree. There isn't one safe diet pill out there without potentially serious side effects. If a company comes out with one that is safe, they will make billions, but I wouldn't be first in line to try it out. People thought Fen-phen was safe for a long time...

That stuff is way bad. Basically, with any of those diet pills, you're taking speed. Hell at that point you're better off taking laxatives.

If you really want to lose weight, watch what you eat, and if it's possible, exercise. Write down what you eat, keep track of calories, etc. It's pretty simple, at the end of the day (mathematically speaking) if calories expended > calories eaten, you'll lose weight. Plus you should only be going for ~2 lbs/week in loss.

http://www.calorieking.com has an online calculator for you to track BMR and meals (or you can just use the info for the caloric intake, that's free)
http://www.keyoe.com/ has a program called Diet & Exercise Assistant for mobile devices and the PC
http://www.vidaone.com/ also makes a program, if I remember right, to help you track it all

Just a few suggestions, if you really do want to lose weight...

Dola,
I can actually recommend VidaOne "My Personal Diet," I started using it earlier this year when I realized I wasn't eating enough to support my workouts. I use it on my Pocket PC, and love it. I also use Calorie King to figure out how many calories the things I eat have...

The only thing you are getting is Caffeine, Aspirin and an assortment of herbs that may have some other effect...

The classic ECA (Ephedrine, Caffeine, Aspirin) stack was used by Body Builders, Boxers and Wreestlers for years to lean up, then blew into an entire martket (Hydroxycut, Ripped Fuel, Stacker, etc.) but since the Ephedrne crap its all pretty much the same as a cup of coffe and an aspirin.

Im not going to argue with the doc on the health effects, I for one am content to use up every ounce of body I have before I move on, but if you want results by any of the above mentioned in their current state, and then pick up some eephedrine plus at your local gas station. (Its still legal to sale as an OOC medicine for asthma and such) then take the epheedrine and the stacker.
It wwill increase your heart rate and your blood pressure.
Make sure those are in check.
But it will also speeed up your metabolism and the faster heart beat will try to slightly raise your core temp, which in turn your body will fight, this will burn additional calories.

But yeah running would be a much better alternative.

Oh and BTW if timed right the ECA stack has an Extacy like effect on sexual activity...
