Maybe I am missing something but I don't understand all the scrutiny Reid is getting. His kids are 22 and 24 years old. At what point does Reid become not responsible for their actions. I realize they lived in his house and him and his wife are to blame for their upbringing, but I don't see where people are coming from saying he should step down, be punished, etc...

Seriously. I think it's because he's mormon that they're making a big deal out of it. The media doesn't get it, so they're confused and of course, because they have nothing else to do...they make non-stories front page news.

I think this is the bigger issue here that the media is running with. This statement was made in court, of course it was related to Reids home, and so everyone instantly assumes he was involved, or knew about what was going on, so he should be strung up, castrated and thrown to the wolves.
I do not think his religion has anything to do with it, and in any of the articles I have read or anything I have watched, his religion was not brought up.

Don't they currently live in his house? I haven't followed the case that closely so I don't know for sure. If they are living in his house, then I don't have a problem with the scrutiny. He is not the first public figure to be held responsible for the people who live in his house.

I'm sure his amazing skills at clock management come into play somewhere here.

I had no idea that Andy Reid is a Mormon. Although, come to think of it, I guess there's no reason why I should have known it--I couldn't name the religious affiliations of any other NFL coaches, except for Belichick, of course.

I've known he was mormon for awhile because a freind of mine's mother and sister are mormons and they have met him (and Reno Mahe) through the church. In fact, Reno Mahe borrowed my friend's luggage awhile ago. He never got it back.
