Vote for the group you would see if both were in concert.

I feel terrible for saying this, because I know the Rolling Stones are a legacy and all, but really... I can name tons of Lynyrd Skynyrd songs but couldn't tell you one Stones hit, just that Mick and Keef got famous.

Well my nomination had to fight to make the tourney, and will noww promptly exit stage left...But I'll still wave the flag

With Shorty here, the Stones are legends and all, but there is just something about Skynyrd....Hell, the live version of Freebird alone does it for me.

But: Are you with Shorty, BYU?

You should probably just stick to voting in the 'Rick' tournament.

I agree. I think that would be a question on who smarter then 5th grader? :)

Host - Name one Stones song.

Any random 5th grader - Satisfaction!

Anybody that's seen a Martin Scorcese film from 1989 on should be familiar with the song Gimme Shelter.

I'd stay home and watch re-runs of Friends.

Well I was born 20 years after their peak, then again I could tell you 5 or 6 Doors hits easily. Seriously, name a Rolling Stones song that everybody knows. Edit- ok, Satisfaction. Didn't know they sang that, bout time.

add me to the list of people that doesn't particularly care for the Stones. sympathy for the devil is one of my favorite songs ever, but I don't own a single Stones album and likely never will, they just don't do it for me.

You Can't Always Get What You Want? I'm younger then you yet I still have a lot of respect for the Stones. I used to only know a few of their songs and not really dig them, but then I listened to a lot more of their collection and grwe to really like them. I hardly listen to their "hits."

I don't have any Stones albums and don't particularily like them all that much, but I can think of at least 7 or 8 songs that I'd think just about everyone should know.

Ok, that one Scoobz and also Ruby Tuesday now come to mind. I rescind all comments, but still would take Skynyrd. They only had 4 years!

I voted for Skynrd for two reasons... Sweet Home Alabama and Freebird. Seeing those live would be incredible.

"God forbid they open with Freebird, because there'd be a stampede to the exits. They should just call every other song they have 'Not Freebird', because that's what it is!"

Its too bad Skynyrd was co-opted by country hicks. They're far better than their legacy.

Dude, I can probably name 10 Skynyrd songs BETTER than Freeebird

[Ok for posterity's sake]
1) All I can do is write about it
2) Sweet home Alabama
3) That Smell
4) I aint the one
5) Gimme Three Steps
6) The Needle and the spoon
7) Four walls of raeford
8) Things goin on
9) (The ballad of) Curtis Loew
10) Gimme Back my Bullets

Ok Im biased, but Id take any of these over Freee Bird, of course I think Freebird is a GREAT all time classic but its been beat to death by my growing up in the South I suppose.

BTW lots of folks have never heard 1 or 7...if you havent go look them up, you'll probably thank me. And #8 is a very nice anti establishment piece
