Vote for the group you would see if both were in concert.

It's a Beautiful Day for Johnny Cash to win. I'll be Hurt if he doesn't. Seriously, this shouldn't even be close. U2 sucks.

You've obviously never seen them in concert, then. I expect Johnny Cash to win because he's a legend and the anti-U2 sentiment, but come on, that's a silly statement.

U2 had a good album. I think. It's been awhile.

I'm shocked by this one...

U2's recent albums have been more miss than hit, but they had a great stretch in the 80s and early 90s. Achtung Baby was their last great album. All That You Can't Leave Behind is the best of their post Achtung albums.

Yep, they were amazing in their prime. Joshua Tree may be one of the greatest albums of all time.

Joshua Tree is one of the few albums that I could listen to looped ad infinitum.

No I haven't because I wouldn't be caught dead at a U2 concert. I tried listening to some of their stuff, but I got vertigo and threw up because it was so terrrible. Uno, dos, tres, shut the hell up! Just because I don't walk the line for U2 doesn't mean it's a silly statement to say that they suck. And you're damn right Johnny Cash is a legend. According to the poll, 56% of the population is behind me so I guess things happen that way.

Yeah, judging on one song, good job. Though your small sample size bias shows in your analysis of the poll results. Glad to know Johnny Cash never had a bad song. The question was who would you rather see in concert and I'd just like to know how many of the people voting for Cash have actually listened to anything of his beyond hurt and probably Ring of Fire.

Cash is a legend, but so is U2.

I was at their second Foxboro show in the Popmart tour, and it was awesome.

Only positive thing U2 have brought in to this world was the dude I saw near Harajuku station in Japan dressed like Elvis (except with a tight leopard skin shirt), and doing Elvis dances to a U2 album. Almost made up for the years and years of U2 I've had forced upon me.

Yes it is.

I'm not participating in these, but I was curious with this result... people would really want to see Cash live? Wouldn't he just be sitting there playing his guitar? I only know two or three songs of his, one of which is a cover that I like by the original artist better.

I like Cash's deep voice, but U2 seems like they would kill in a live concert.

I'd rather watch a man with his guitar than an overblown pomp fest.

Groundhog knows U2 isn't the One to win this poll. 56% of the population knows too. We're gonna win this poll one piece at a time. Johnny Cash is a legend. U2 couldn't carry The Man in Black's guitar.

If you like their music. I don't, so I'd rather see Cash stand there and play guitar than watch U2 do whatever is they do when performing.

Cash is great. He wasthere at the beginnings of Rock n Roll. He is a country music legned. He can play the Blues.
U2 lives on Bonos platform of "world peace to save the whales from affecting global warming" or whatever it is.

I probably own 10 Cash tapes/Cds and ZERO U2...

Of course, the slight irony in this statement is that U2 did a song with Johnny Cash on "Zooropa". Now, given the inherent dislike you've expressed so far against U2, I'm guessing you'll either say that Johnny brought the album up or U2 dragged him down, one or the other.
