Anyone planning on catching this?
I knew then guy from the football pregame but not much else about him. Then I saw a special of his the other day and thought he was pretty damn funny.
His impressions are great but then the bits he puts around them are great.
Any opinions about him? Has anyone seen him live?

Yeah, someone in advertising dropped the ball on this one... :)

They should have somehow linked Frank TV to the baseball playoff coverage.

Yeah...due to the overkill during the baseball playoffs, I'm not watching this on principle alone.

Yeah, fuck TBS. He could be doing his Madden schtick while commenting on a mud wrestling match between Jessica Alba and Jessica Biel and I still wouldn't watch.

I've never seen him live, but he's on the radio live in the DC area frequently and is always a hoot. He mostly does the sports station so it is a lot of the Madden schtick.

If you have ever seen his standup, he is pretty good. His Pacino is spot on and I just heard his Charles Barkley the other day on the radio. It was pretty good!
I'm actually looking forward to this show despite the overkill on the commercials.

Well, honestly I think I'd be onboard for this. Principle only goes so far...

My problem with him is that while he does reasonably good impressions, he's not all that funny. He does a bang-on Madden that's pretty much entertaining every time because it's so good, but when he does someone like Nicholson or Pacino and has to rely on some actual material to support it, it just falls flat.

He has a couple of CDs out that are clips of him doing radio shows. I've heard them, and I think they're pretty funny. One of his CDs (the latest one, I think) has way too many Pacino bits on it, though. Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't find his Pacino bits to work too well on the radio. I dunno, I just think it would work better with visuals, assuming that he can do Pacino's mannerisms as well as his voice.
I have no idea if I'll watch Frank TV or not. I remember seeing commercials for it, but I never actually paid attention to the time and date that the show will be airing. Somehow, I don't expect the show to last more than 6 weeks anyway, so it probably doesn't matter much.

Here he is doing his great Charles Barkley and a brilliant Bill Walton:

I was watching Inside the Actor's Studio and someone does a great young Pacino and old Pacino, like somehow his voice changed completely over 30 years (which is true, watch Al in the 70s and then watch anything from the past 20 years, two different voices).
Anyways, I forget who it was, so this was kind of a pointless post.

That was probably Kevin Pollak.

Bingo. This one I will ignore on purpose. For those of you in the Bay Area, this is up there with the "Now you've got a friend in the diamond business" Shane company ads - I fucking hate them and will actively work against them. :D

Caliendo kicks ass. His Bush is spot on, and his Pacino kills me.
I loved his bit where he says that Pacino can take any line and make it sound cool.

Is he there now? He used to be all over the radio here and drove me crazy also.
